Jani Lane - Former Frontman for Warrant

Jani Lane (real name John Kennedy Oswald) who is the former frontman for Warrant was found dead at a hotel in LA on Thursday the 11th of August 2011. He was to serve 120-days in jail for a DUI-related charge he recieved in 2010. Which was his second in two years. He is known to have a string of alcohol-related cases in his life. It was reported today that a half-empty bottle of liquor [vodka] and prescription medication was found at the scene. He was only 47 years old [way to young to go in my opinion] No official cause of death is known yet. I never was a complete fan of Warrant but I actually liked him though, he seemed down-to-earth and a nice guy. I actually like the song 'Heaven' by Warrant. I am a heavy metal/thrash/death metal and classic rock guy, but I have a certain fondness for that song mostly for the recent passing of him.

As bad as it sounds this is really just another "rock star" that for whatever reason just couldn't deal with it. I remember seeing tape of this guy in a big pool literally swallowing vodka by the glass full while his mom is pleading with him not to drink so much. WTF.
He had $$/babes/fame/ his mom by his side. Musta been a big dark hole where his self respect/self worth musta been.

Lane did end up in rehab in 03' for excessive drug and alky exhaustion.
