On June 25th, 1937, Mr. Colin Clive passed away at a young age of 37 yrs. We best remember Mr. Clive as Dr. Henry Frankenstein.
Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf, when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright, AAHHOOoooo

A sad tale.......wouldn't Clive's story make a fascinating film bio??

It would...  Sad indeed.   R.I.P. Mr. Clive.

In Memoriam.

Colin was born Colin Glenn Greig...son of Lt. Colonel Colin  Philip Greig.  Clive was his mother's maiden name.  There were also two Uncles: John Glennie Greig and Piercy  Greig...also of the British Army.  All three Greig brothers were born  in Army outposts in British India.  Colin's birthdate of 1900 was  correct, according to his birth registration in the British Vice-Consulate in St. Malo, Brittany France.  There were apparently two other siblings, born in 1902 and 1904, but no information has been found, other than a census listing for three Greig children at the convent school that Colin attended.  Two younger sisters born in 1902 and 1904...named Cecily Greig, age 9 and Audrey Greig, age 7.

The origin of the name Greig is Scots, and is under the protection of Clan McGregor....
