As always, SCARY MONSTERSmagazine never lets me down, and is always a good read.
From start to finish, page after page, awesome pix! Great articles, art and insite.
This months mag #78 and articles were very cool. I always get my moneys worth.

SCARY MONSTERS has always been a quality magazine.  From Beatty's covers through to the last page, I have never been dissapointed in a single issue ever.

Oh how I agree!!  Cover to cover is the method I use as well!  :)  But I have to mention that a year or so ago, when I found out that I had been admiring a UMA member's artwork for years, I pulled out all my precious SMs and searched all the covers carefully for that distinguished signature! I am so happy to be able to say that I am in the same club as Mr. Beatty! Those covers are the BEST!   :)  I also feel like you get more words for your money! I read the Dark Shadows article while I was waiting around in jury duty last month! Thank goodness I had the magazine in my purse because I didn't bring my cellphone in like everyone else did, and even though I discreetly folded back the cover- I can't help wonder if my superb reading material was responsible for my not getting chosen for the Grand Jury!!  I didn't even know it was for the Grand Jury until the guy in charge pointed it out on the bottom of my summons. And when the judge announced that there were 3 different "very serious" cases that were on the schedule and we might have to be on the GJ for 3 months........whew- I was glad that they said my name as one of the 5 other people they didn't need   :)   Was it the Scary Monsters magazine I was reading? Or was it the way I come across as a total flake? I'll never know, but even though I would have been proud to do my civic duty.....I am soooo glad I didn't have to hear about terrible crimes and have to look at horrible evidence for indictments. Anyways......Scary Monsters is super Cool!

I've been a subscriber since issue #3 and will remain one for as long Dennis keeps cranking these babies out. He recently informed me that i was his first subscriber, which i consider a great honor.  By issue #4 i was contributing articles about my recording projects with the one and only Cool Ghoul, Zacherley and Dennis later instigated the pull out record of my song , ''Zack Is Back'' in issue #12. I never corresponded with Forry Ackerman during FM's original run, although i did have the pleasure of meeting him a few times at Sci- Fi and horror conventions thru out the 90's. It simply never dawned on me to write in to FM. Mainly because i thought my letter would just get lost or ignored, so why bother? Scary Monsters came along right around the time i first met Zach and  i'm forever thankful to Dennis for providing a forum for me to share the events that were rapidly unfolding at the time. Warm , wonderful memories that i will never forget! There are a number of high quality monster mags out there now, but out of them all, the only one [IMO] that comes close to re-capturing the magic that once was Famous Monsters of Filmland is Dennis Druktenis' Scary Monsters.

I totally love Scary Monsters Magazine.  I think of it as one of the few current things out there that carries the "atmosphere and feeling" that the original Famous Monsters had, and I feel it is very important because of this.  Great freakin' mag.
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!
