Question about The Ghost of Frankenstein lobby cards

I was looking at some lobby cards for the Ghost of Frankenstein at this site:

The lobby cards are in color and I was wondering if the photos were actually taken with color film or were the photos colored by hand.    In the lobby cards it appears he has pale flesh, not the greenish tint that one commonly sees.  Anyone have any answers?

They are hand tinted, aka not natural color.
