likely a Marvel ruse to reinvent the Torch  like they did with Cap.

Unfortunately, death has become so over-used in comics that it is completely meaningless. The Torch will be back when some other writer decides it would be a great story idea to have him return. I give it two years tops.

Yeah, they did the same thing to Superman and when they were ready, they brought him back....yawn.
