I have to go with the original. I saw the new WOLFMAN and it had nothing to do with the original, they just got the same names and then changed the entire story. Hollywood needs to stop making bad remakes of great movies.

The original has 70 years experience, yet doesn't age, and besides---his hair is always perfect, thanks to Jack Pierce and a comb and not computer enhanced over Baker's already flawless make up. . The winner: LON CHANEY

The Del Toro Wolfman is all CGI and no real substance. The battle scenes look like something from a kid's video game. Anyway, this discussion will be pointless in a year or so after the remake is long forgotten.

Lon Chaney Jr. set the bar and is far as I'm concerned no one has surpassed it. Del Toro's Wolfman is good, but how can he live up to Chaney's. It was and is Brilliant! Del Toro's has no chance. Lon Chaney Jr. Knock Out First Round.
