I love the logo on her shirt.  I used to think it was just an abstract ink blot.  Then I saw better photos and realized it was a really groovy scene of a woman swooning beneath a vampire.

That one is a great shape. Even though the box is rough, it is still there. I knew the Minute I saw it, it would go high.  It could have fallen. Sometimes you get lucky. You never know. Keep trying.  HHW

That auction lacks a few key words and is still running. :-[  $150 would be a steal, IMO.

I think even $250 would be a pretty good deal. I think it will go for around $3 to $350. You never know.

We don't have a rule about posting links to live auctions.  It has been discussed at length, with what seems to be a majority of members wishing it wasn't done, especially with regard to auctions that may not be well titled or categorized and may escape notice to sell for a cheaper price.  For instance, I didn't see this and probably would not have seen it.  Having one of these in the box is something I'd like.  If I decide to bid, someone else who was looking harder for it and found it on their own will either lose it or may pay more because I decided to go after it.  There's no reason these things can't be discussed after they have ended, but again, there is no rule.  I'm just trying to explain some of the comments and give everyone food for thought.

Just as a price guide note...  these dolls, complete and nice, usually sell for $75 to $150.  The Wolfie and Dracky usually the higher side of that because they have accessories that are frequently missing.  It's unusual to find them boxed.  They rarely come up for sale with their boxes.  HH's range of $300 to $350 for a boxed one with a slightly torn and crunched box is about what I'd think too.  A minty box would be quite a bit more...

Thank you, Bobby!  I'll remember about the ebay links for next time!

Still too much money.  That would be a non Hallmark moment.  My hubby killing me.  I'll just keep on looking!

I was snarled at (not by any of the mods, just a fellow member which I'd never met) for mentioning an ongoing auction once a long time ago. So now I just PM my friends when I find something good and nobody else ever knows.  Many people miss it completely now when before they may have at least had a shot.  Ain't I a stinker? And before you send the letter bomb FYI this has only happened a couple times in a couple years, and I personally will not knowingly bid against a fellow member. Plus now I'm addicted to Facebook and stopped going on ebay.

There was a set of these, in nice boxes, on ebay a couple of years ago. They sold for a little over $1000 as I recall.

Yikes!  No letter bombs here!  I hate it that ebay now hides the identities.  I never knowingly bid against somebody I know either.  I guess it's just for that reason that they are hidden.  Hey, but sometime if anybody wants to bid on something and thinks I'll bid on it, LMK, and I'll stay away!

I've shared this one time before but given the topic, it's worth sharing again.  Before ebay hid the bidder's identities, another UMAer outbid me on something I was looking for to fill my set.  He didn't knowingly do so (he mistakenly thought I was the seller actually) but he felt so bad about it, he surprised me by boxing it up and shipping it to me after he won it and paid for it of course.  I offered (insisted actually) to pay him for it but he refused to take my money.  Just one example of the big hearted generous folks here at the UMA.  A man I'm proud to call friend....Harry Woodbury (told you I'd never forget that, Harry!)   :D

I really hate the way ebay hides everyone's identity.  It destroys any sense of community.  I don't know who is bidding against me, or who I'm bidding against.  It takes some of the fun out of it, which makes me less enthusiastic about bidding.

Jeff,
That's really nice that Harry did that for you!  Yes, we have some really nice soldiers in this Army!  Ray, you are right, it does take the community out of it.  It was always nice to see who was bidding on what.  Sooner or later as a collector I would come across people so many times.  It was like a special community.  Leave it to ebay to take that spirit away.

Harry Woodbury is a nice guy, and that's no jive!
I would bury him not, while he were alive!

Thank the shysters. It was done in response to the fraud and 'second chance offer' B.S. that was becoming the norm on ebay. I was getting a couple a week before the change.

Oh, speaking of questionable goings on, there are several things in the upcoming sale of FJA's remaining estate that are...er...questionable as far as authenticity, including the most high profile item...the famed Ring (as discussed elsewhere on the web). OK, I'm clammin up now.  ;D

As far as bidding goes...  I usually enter my bid in my snipe tool when I see the listing and decide to bid on it.  Then I often don't look again until after it's over.  I never knew who I was bidding against anyway.

I was hoping you'd get her!  I like when other members get a good win.  I kept watching her jump from $26.  If I see another I will let you know.

Thank you, Jscareshock.  It's so sweet of you to think of me on that auction.  Thank you, for also saying you'll let me know if another one comes into town!  She's a little girl that likes to stay with her owners.  I very rarely see her come up.
