Title: Hotel Transylvania toys
Post by: charp13 on September 22, 2012, 09:54:58 PM
These are not Universal Monster toys, but for anyone who plans on seeing Hotel Transylvania- these toys are at McDonalds. We drove through to get an iced mocha and came out with a Happy Meal that I forced my husband to eat  :)  It's a cute little toy, and I plan on seeing the movie with my 7 year old grandson.  So anyway.. I took a pic. with my phone so you can see that the character looks pretty cool.

Did they made a werewolf and his cubs, and a tiny cute bat version of his child?

I looked on the box and on the paper that came with the toy, but they didn't show any upcoming toys.  I am going to insist that someone in my family eat one Happy Meal per week, so they can give me the toys. My brother owes me because we ate B.K. kids meals just to get the Star Wars toys for my nephew, a few years ago! Hahaha!
The things we do to our colons, just to get a little toy   :)

I found pix of 2 different sets of McD toys online. Apparently the set with more variety is for overseas markets. :(

Unless you're planning a trip to Europe, might as well check on Ebay.  I found some "Monster versus Aliens" PEZ dispensers on Ebay, which I understand were not sold in the states.

I also saw some additional toys in a calw machine, but I have no ability to work those.

That werewolf head thing looks lame... BAH! I can't believe they failed to create a cute bat toy!

About 9 years ago I was asked to leave the arcade area of Knott's Berry Farm for winning too much in the claw machines.
They didn't make me leave the park but they made it clear if I went into the arcade again that they would.
Same thing happened at Dave and Busters (where I had another issue that almost turned into a lawsuit).

Don't you know you are supposed to use the machine claw, not your own?!   ;)

Cute toys. But PARTY TIME MURRAY looks very similar to
Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Quotecame out with a Happy Meal that I forced my husband to eat

Golly Charp, your Maccas is tough. Here in Oz yesterday I'd bought two 'lone' burgers when I spotted some release-date signage above the menu, but no mention of toys. I asked the young lady if this was an upcoming Happy Meal promotion and she said yep, and they already had some toys. I was able to buy the two toys without any Happy Meal accompaniment, though no doubt buying the bigger burgers helped my case, but I've been able to buy toys alone a lot. So anyway, I now own Dracula and Murray the Mummy.  Drac flaps his arms ... well, sort of lifts his cape ... and Murray jumps out of his lower half and appears to be doing a pool bomb with green swimming trunks and tiny little bandaged legs.

QuoteApparently the set with more variety is for overseas markets.

Wow, I hope so. More often we see like, 5/8 of the US variety over here, and I'm the one hitting eBay....

Seems wrong that the US gets the shaft here, but the rest look okay.

After this, the Halloween vibe continues with Scooby-Doo Trick or Treat pails!!!

Still keeping my fingers crossed for something better from other fast food chains.

I would not count on it.  Looks like Burger King is doing something for some video game system next.  Jack in the Box no longer does toys.  CJ's only does one toy promotion every six months.  Only place left is Wendy's...  And they rarely do Halloween.   :(  Am I forgetting someplace?

Tacobell had some interesting "Goosebumps" toys some years back.  Not sure if they do toys now.

Two of the HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA toys caught my eye, but I think I can pass on the others.  Just picked up that vampiric variation on the wind-up chattering teeth (and they're even full size) at lunch today.  And the wind-up crawling hand looks pretty cool.

Speaking of the Burger King toys...I think I still have a spare of Dracula in his coffin if anyone can use it.

Arctic Circle usually has some form of Halloween toys or generic monster toys for their Square Pumpkin kids meal. I have been getting them since I was a child.

Saw some really nice toys that McDonalds will be giving out for "Book of Life".  But they won't be available in the states, just a bucket.  Now aren't you glad that social justice warriors are making the world a better place, because of how unhealthy it is for children to get toys with their meals?
