Bring 'em on!?...what are your favorite endings to horror films? Any spoilers, don't blame me if you haven't seen that film yet, so make sure you fellow monster army soldiers post "spoiler alert".
Psycho II - Mrs. Spool pays a visit, is she really his mother! Norman bashes her head in with a shovel!
The Thing - You just know that one of them is infected, right!?!
Candyman - Trevor calls Helen's name 5 times and...
The Ring - The tape and Samara's curse still remains
Phantasm - Michael is paid a visit by the Tall Man, "Booooooy!"
Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978) - Is Matthew one of them!?
Black Christmas (1974) - Peter is dead, Jess in shock and put under sadation, the police and media leave the house, the bodies of Clare and Mrs. Macs' are undiscovered in the attic, the 'moaner' left saying his infamous line, "Agnes, it's me Billy". As the credits roll, the phone rings.
This is for starters...
All time:
Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man
one of my all time faves is from "The Lost Boys", when the grandfather goes to the fridge and get's himself a soda, and says...
"One thing I hate about living in _________, is all the damn vampires"
Then the ending music starts..."People are strange"...
that might not be quoted perfectly, but's it's been a while since I watched it..
I'll always remember the first time I watched Psycho II with my dad, I must have been about five, when Norman bashes the old dear's head in my dad burst into a fit of laughter. The old boy stays up til 1am watching Southpark and laughs at literally everything Cartman says.
Growing up in the 80's I always liked to see the 'its still alive here comes a sequel' endings.
The Ending to Hallowe'en III. When Dr. Daniel 'Dan' Challis calls all t.v.
stations and tries to intercept, prevent the playing of Silver Shamrock commercials.
It's obvious, that didn't work.
Cabin Fever......Blonde male idiot exits house, thinking he is safe from the
virus his friends received earlier in the plot. Then BAM!!!!! Gunfire, he's shot.
Seems the shooting goes on forever.
Return to Horror High.......very interesting ending. Fun movie, ending still confusing.
Night of the Living Dead
Duane whatshisface makes it through hell... only to have some inbred mutant punch his ticket for the bonfire...
The Bride of Frankenstein
'You... GO! You.... stay...... We belong dead....'
"Bobby" (from Dead of Night Trilogy)
When "Bobby" comes down the stairs not as her son, but as a demon looking monster from hell.
Horror of Dracula: Peter Cushing's desperate, swashbuckling leap for the drapery, bringing curtains to Count Dracula who melts into a pile of goo under the rays of the morning sun.
The Mist: Even though the book didn't have much of an ending, the movie singlehandedly created the bleakest shocker of an ending I've ever seen.
Curse of the Demon: The tense last minute passing of the Runes resulting in a demonic twist of fate.
Jaws: "Smile, you son of a --"
The ending to "Sleepaway Camp" is pretty much the weirdest IMO.
I don't know my favorite, but i do know the weriedest i've seen. The weriedest ending is sleepaway camp.
The end of Bay of Blood/Twitch of the Death Nerve is pretty out there.
Love the ending to the original Planet of the Apes....."Damn you, damn you all to hell."
The original Omen where the last thing you see is little Damien turn and smile at you.
I re-watched Hammer's The Mummy's Shroud this weekend, the best ending of any mummy movie IMO.
I might throw in The Sixth Sense as well.

Holy Crap, YES. I would go as far as to say it was disturbing, which is unusual for a cheesy flic like that-------but I was unnerved.

I also liked the narrarated piece at the end of Beneath the Planet of the Apes... a small insignificant planet ceases to exist or something akin to that...
The ending to 'Society' was pretty damn bizzarre too, apologies to anybody eating!

The Monster's tear....The Bride's hisssssss...
Elisabeth ededed
Bloodfeast where Ramses jumps into a garbage truck compactor... (just seein' if there are any HG Lewis fans out there!)
When Christopher Lee is impaled on the cross in Dracula Has Risen From the Grave.
Caesar/Roddy McDowall's speach at the climax of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. That scene never fails to stir me.
"Alien" which left you thinking Jonzy was harboring an alien
