British actress Carol Marsh who worked with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in the 1958 HORROR OF DRACULA passed away in Lancashire in March (word of her passing just now released). She was born in 1926, according to the most accurate source, and would have been 84 on her next birthday.
Miss Marsh also appeared as Fan (Fanny) Scrooge, Ebenezer's sister, in the wonderful 1951 version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL starring Alastair Sim, and as Alice in the '49 version of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Her film debut was in the highly acclaimed British film, BRIGHTON ROCK.

She was great in both Horror of Dracula and 1951's Scrooge; truly memorable performances. RIP Carol Marsh
I will continue to enjoy her fabulous work. Thanks for the memories, Carol Marsh.
Thanks for sharing Robert. Loved her as Fan. It is my defintive Scrooge favorite version.
OG
A CHRISTMAS CAROL and HORROR OF DRACULA are both two of my all-time favourite movies. As Lucy, I do sometimes think she has strange facial expressions, but she is still very creepy with little Tania. I haven't seen Christmas Carol for a long time, and can't remember her, but I know I love it- it's the only film that makes me smile without realising it.
R.I.P.
RIP, Carol.
Just thought I'd add some photos from Horror of Dracula

I always believed she made a menacing vampire.
Yes. I remember seeing Horror of Dracula for the first time when I was eight or so, and her scene in the woods was SCARY. Her performance seemed to be the template for many other "beckoning vampires" that followed later.
Just saw her in Brighton Rock today, and she is amazing! I felt so sorry for her, and the ending nearly killed me, I thought her character was going to be heartbroken- but then the record skipped!!! Sorry for the spoiler if you haven't seen it.
