Leslie Howard, who starred with Helen Chandler in the movie OUTWARD BOUND, was killed on 1 June 1943.
He died when the civilian plane on which he was a passenger was shot down by the luftwaffe...killing all on board.
I post this in honour of all Civilians who have died in the service of their Country.
