I remember watching his show for years when I was a kid...also remember his daughter jumping out a window years ago...a great broadcaster...
Bizarro Jeff
I loved his House Party show when I was a kid. He started it on radio in the 40's.
One of the old talent who had class whose numbers are sadly diminishing.

God Bless you, Mr. Linkletter. Every smile you ever gave has come back 100 fold, and your humour has the angels falling off their clouds.
Thank you...

I first caught him on Truth Or Consequences. Thanks for the memories!
He was on one of the dollar bills in the Life game.
Godspeed, Art. :'(
Linkletter may be forever associated with his saying (and tv show, and book) KIDS SAY THE DARNEDEST THINGS! It was a part of his old tv show that everyone looked forward to--as you never knew what children would say (sometimes to their parents' embarrassment!). Art was in a number of films/tv shows as an actor, too. As a Vincent Price fan, I forever link him with Price's first comedy role in the 1946 movie CHAMPAGNE FOR CAESAR. Linkletter played a quiz show host (no stretch!) named Happy Hogan in a silly radio show in that film. From this movie, here's a shot of him (at left) with Ronald Colman:

Amazing shot, Elder Robert. (And to my mind Ronald Colman, along with Benita, will always be Jack Benny's neighbor, rather than anything else he did, hahah!)
Ninety-seven's one heck of a wonderful run, Mr. Linkletter. Thanks for all the laughs, the professionalism, and the kindness.
Rest in peace.
Honestly I thought he passed long ago. Still alot of great childhood memories from this guy.
S'long Art.
I remember watching House Party as a kid. Another childhood memory has faded. I think it used to be on every day. I remember watching it in the afternoon but I was in Texas then so it may have been on at a different time in other regions. The memorys are rushing back now. House Party,
Captain Kangaroo, Queen For A Day, Concentration. Those were the days. R.I.P. Art Linkletter. Thanks for the good times.
Art Linkletter provided me with unnumerable boughts of laughter as a kid. It's depressing to see your childhood dying off. R.I.P. Mr. Linkletter.
A great entertainer, a "link" to our past. 97! Quite a life. RIP Art Linkletter
