I really am a lucky mom. I have a wonderful husband who loves me. He gave me 2 wonderful children. I thank God everyday for this blessing.
I'm also a Monster Mom, with 2 monstrous grown-up children......Yikes....The Terrible 20s! I appreciate the sentiments! And, I was lucky enough to get a couple sets of Styrofoam Create your own Frankenstein party cups, a Frankenstein paper party lantern, and a sparkly skeleton wooden stand-up statue. I made out like a bandit! I also got the LEGO monsters game. Whew, I wish I had more young-ins :)

And a Happy Mexican Mother's Day today to all moms.. Yes I get 2 Mother's day dinners! Better wear the stretchy pants...lol
What?? Why was I never told about Mexican Mother's Day? I would take an awesome road trip, just to get to celebrate another day :) Yay! Thanks for letting me know for next year. And Happy belated Mexican Mother's Day, I read about it and it sounds really sweet and you always know what day it falls on.
This was my first Mom's Day without my mom, but I managed, because I knew she was well and strong again, and with my Dad. I did have a chuckle, though. Mom always teased me unmercifully, about my love of monsters, AND my appreciation of Colin Clive. She always said he "was so jumpy" that he gave her the creeps.
Well, NOW she knows....

Awww, Elisabeth, you have a really sweet way of thinking about things. I lost my Mom a long long time ago, and I'm way older than my brother and sister, my daughter is 20 years older than my brother's daughter. So I'm the oldest gal in my family :( But, I just try to play it cool and give the young girls a goofy "role model" tee-hee But I also think about all the good ladies we lost in our family on Mother's Day, so I know how you feel. On a different note~~~~ I WISH I was going to Wonderfest!!! Uggh- Hopefully I will get to meet some of the UMA ladies before 2011.... At least I will not have to worry about any more of my kids in college next year, my daughter will be finished next week YAY!
