Universal Monster Army

I know that Fruit Brute and Yummmy Mummy is pretty much the same thing, but i want to know your favorite flavor. Tell about some memories you had eating the cereal or anything about it.

I'm partial to chocolate, but chocolate cereals give me a bellyache after a bit. It's a 3-way tie after that, but having to pick one, I went w/Frankenberry. I prefer them dry as  I find pink & blue milk repulsive.

 Frankenberry is my favorite, with Count Chocula a very close second.  Only every so often do I still eat Boo Berry.  Unfortunately Frankenberry has become very hard to find, so when I do run across it, I buy several boxes at a time.  As soon as the first commercials aired in the `70's us kids had to have it, although I was a more avid Freakies connoisseur than any other cereal.

 Yep slayergriffith, those were the commercials.  Been eating those cereals ever since, never out-grew them....never intend to.  Count Chocula and Boo Berry are easy enough to find, but Frankenberry has become a pain to locate.

Where i live you can only find Count Chocula. I can't find Boo Berry or Frankenberry anywhere. I've looked all over the place.

Here in Vega$, Count Chocula and his other General Mills fiends are only seasonal.
Halloween time is the only time C.C, F.B. B.B are on the shelves. Luckily, my wonderful Wife
purchases some boxes to last me a couple months.

I wouldn't eat this stuff if you paid me -- but I like the characters.  My pal Brent Schoonover, artist of the HORRORWOOD comic book has done some box art for these recently.....

I used to be a huge fan of BooBerry until General Mills changed all these cereals to a "whole grain" formula . . . effectively ruining them IMO.

I love them all but where I live you are lucky to find any of them only around Halloween.  It is sad because I would buy them often if they were here.   :(

Here in the central Virginia area, Frankenberry and Boo Berry were available last Halloween month at Target, and a few trickled into Big Lots later. Martin's Grocery Chain just bought out the local Ukrops Supermarkets and brought in Count Chocula (by himself) about two weeks ago.

Boo Berry always rocked.  All of the monster cereals are available in Pennsylvania at the Weis markets.

My favorite was Count Chocula.  Boo Berry wasn't bad either.  I never cared for Frankenberry.  I once had a record called "The Monsters go Disco" with those charactres.   It was cardboard with plastic groves.

Count Chocula is the only monster cereal available where I live.   

Count Chocula is my favorite as i was too young for fruit brute but I did have the pleasure of eating Yummy Mummy before it was discontinued. Boo berry and frankenberry are just too hard to find nowadays.

For the first time in memory, all three existing Monster cereals are available here in the Richmond Va area: Count Chocula is still ruling at Martin's stores, and Frankenberry and Boo Berry are available at Big Lots, but what do you bet they are Target's left overs....  :P

Up here except for Halloween you can only find Boo Berry. I never can find my favorite Fruit Brute.

 I believe Fruit Brute was discontinued in the early Eighties.

I was in Target today and they had all three monster cereals for $2.50 a box.

THANK YOU- Judd    I drove 16 miles to Walmart on Thursday, only to find the Cap'n Crunch, which I had to buy after driving that far!   Target here I come!

 YAYY...I finally got my Frankenberry fix.  Went to Target and stocked up big time.   :D

I had a heaping bowl of Chocula for dessert last night!   Mmmmmmm     

 I took advantage of finally finding Frankenberry, since I haven't seen it in a few years.  I'll be eating it at least to New Years.

I finally found a "Yummy Mummy" Bobblehead, so that complete's my collection of all 5 monster cereals bobbleheads. I feel the cool!  8)

I love Frankenberry.. Just love it. I even have a recipe for frankenberry marshmallow treats.

I ate a bowl of Boo Berry cereal for breakfast this morning.  it was good.

I saw the monster cereals for sale at Price Chopper today 2 for $5.

Wife has a coupon for these, so we should be well stocked soon

I have to go across town to get my BOO BERRY fix, but it is well worth it. >:D
