So UMA, Peter Bregman and your humble poster have been nominated. I'm sure others from here have as well. I'm sorry to say that I don't know everyone by there real name yet.
So please vote for as many catagories as you can. Dave Colton is working hard to make this a national phenomanon and we can all help!

UMA is up for best website. Peter's Trap Door maker for best Horror Comic and Chuck, myself and Bob for best DVD extras.
Who else?
Very nice news.
My Scary Monsters magazine Karloff Mummy cover is nominated.....
Proud & honored that Quicksilver was considered for our FRANKENSTEIN: MODERN PROMETHEUS; didn't make the cut, though, since though it was Broad/Webcast in '07, it was produced before that.
I believe our own Mighty Max is up for his Blog, and BossMan Terry for Kid?
Good luck, all!

My blog IS nominated, but if I get more than two votes I'll be greatly surprised.
Also, Terry is NOT officially nominated for Monster Kid of the Year. It is a write-in category, and the names sent in are used to guide the final selection. I am (proudly) the first person to suggest Terry's name be written in by voters.
If anyone hasn't voted, please DO consider writing Terry's name for Monster Kid of the Year. Like Raymond the previous year, he has done much to deserve it.
Well congrats to Mighty max and Terry B. (I proudly hang one of his covers in Dr. Shocker's House of Horror)
And I think Monster Kid of the Year for our founder is a wonderful idea!
I too am stoked about the nomination for the Many Faces of the Frankenstein Monster web site (aka theFrankensteinMonster.com), But like Max the nomination is enough for me.
I myself have been honored with a nomination for 'Best Horror Host'.
It's an honor just to be nominated. Really.
Hey Professor,
That is great!
Same to you, Gary.
Wonderful.
My website was nominated the past 2 years. I didn't win but the honor of being nominated was good enough for me. This year I did not get a nomination so I am in it as a write in. Maybe next year.

It seems like it gets harder every year to choose, with more websites and blogs to consider. It's almost impossible to judge every category, and now there's the horror host award! So many, all so worthy.
The DVD extra category was a slam-dunk, in my opinion. If you have not checked out the GAZILLION extras on THE HAPPY HAUNTING OF AMERICA dvd, you really must. Aside from the original HHOA documentary, there is the Dr. Shocker Live Show at the Alex Theater, which won best fan event two years ago, a ton of behind the scenes footage, still galleries, the pilot for a horror talk show starring Dan Roebuck and Chuck Williams, and much more. I strongly endorse this, because the entertainment value far exceeds the already reasonable cost of the disk(s). Even if it doesn't win the Rondo, it belongs on your shelf.
As we rapidly approach the deadline and subsequent annoucement of this year's winners, I want to wish each and every one of the nominated the very best of luck. You all do the classic horror community proud.
Frank
I've posted this in several threads now, because I believe it deserves to be considered:
Reading all of these wonderful posts, as well as the ones posted on the CHFB, has got me to thinking. In the last ten years, Benny's contribution to the classic horror community has been immeasurable. Benny became much more than just the guy who wore the suit in the movie. He became a Good Will Ambassador to the entire fanbase. His generosity of spirit brought us all together, he was a common link to fans across the nation.
And so I respectfully submit that Ben Chapman be honored posthumously with a Rondo Hall Of Fame Award, for keeping the memory of classic monsters alive in the hearts and minds of us all.

Frank, That's a wonderful idea. Put my name on any and every petition that sends this plan forward.

I'm putting Ben on my ballot.
Ballots for Benny!
Another one for Ben without even blinking an eye!
