Somebody wanna explain this one? I was scanning a batch of FM covers and they all scanned fine, except 2 of them that would not scan the color red off them. They weren't at the start or at the end, but I rescanned them at the end and they did the same thing again. Even the back cover of one of them wouldn't scan the red. Same color red that all the other mags have on them. Weird!
Man, I've never heard of that.
Is there some 'moire' setting that is tweaked just subtly enough that perhaps fine lines on those particular issues are causing the scanner to ignore that red?
Yessir, very weird.

I don't see any moire patterns anywhere. I never get those, really. Doesn't effect any of the other colors on those issues. Yellows, blues and such are correct.
Saw some scans on the internet with the correct colors, so it must be me!
Well one time I had this weird sensation and then all of the sudden I freaked and pretty much turned inside out!!
Oh wait...I thought you said Scanners!!...Boy do I feel silly. ;D

No doubt, I was stabbing in the dark, really. That's a very strange phenomenon. I was trying to replicate it, or anything
like it, on the two scanners I have here.
Baffled.
Now I'm wondering if this ever happened before and I just didn't notice? Since I spotted it right off, this time, I'm hoping not.
