Title: Ripley's Haunted adventure - Gatlinberg, TN
Post by: Creepy on February 15, 2008, 10:46:48 AM
My bride and I were married last month in Gatlinberg and while there I got her to go thru the Ripley's Haunted adventure.  It was a cool Huanted House attraction with a fun backstory.

In 1999, Ripley's acquired property once known as the Grimsby & Streaper Casket Company. Although advised by locals that unnatural things went on inside, Ripley's began conducting tours of the former casket factory until decisions are made on how to better utilize this valuable location.

Now is your chance to visit the factory closed permanently in 1926 due to the strange disappearance of both company owners.  Please be advised that you are entering at your own risk and that Ripley's assumes no responsibility for your return!

Anyone else check this out?  I highly recommend this attraction!!

Congratulations!

You picked a very popular spot to get hitched.  I live about thirty five minutes away from Gatlinburg as the crow flies over the mountain.......

Haunted Adventure is one of my favorites on the strip.  I try to do it at least once a year.

There is another Haunted House up from the Ripley's Aquarium on River Road.  It has been there for years and is a hoot.  You go through it and have to find secret passage ways in order to work your way through.  It's a lot of fun.  Especially when you get to the top level of the house and look out over the house on the hanging balcony..........

Best wishes to you and your wife!

Big Gatlinburg fan, right here  ;D! I will say that Gatlinburg does have a weird feel to it though, but I digress. Ripley's haunted Adventure was a very fun haunt to go through, but my fave has got to be Mysterious Mansion! It's pretty scary that you have to find your own way out of the joint, lol !

I spotted the Mysterious mansion too late to try it out.  We're going back this summer and it's definitely on the list!

We have a Ripley's Haunted Adventure in San Antonio, TX as well!  (casket Company storyline)

San Antonio has a very Touristy epicenter.  Alamo Plaza, the River Walk...etc.  Next to Ripley's Haunted Adventure is
Ripley's Believe it or Not, and The Palace of Wax!

Oh...and the San Antonio Zoo...(which we visited just last weekend has scores of the infamous Mold-A-Rama Machines...
(all Zoo animals of course).
My son and I stocked up.

My family and I went to the attraction a few years ago. I thought it was totally cool!
