Just got this in an email from a friend...Very sad to hear of the loss of such a talented individual. One of the most influential yet underrated musicians of all time...

Wasn't he the lead singer? That's weird, coz yesterday, we were listening to The Box Tops, and I was telling her how young the singer was when they recorded THE LETTER. Amazing voice from a great band!

Yes and another one of my favorites from the Box Tops has always been Cry Like A Baby.
