Well it seems I forgot to remember the time differences between me and others...it's 7PM in Indiana...while it's only 6PM here at Oklahoma.
Thanks for viewing Doc's Den of Horror talk show...each evening I will interview another member, with their permission of course.
Our first guest is Unknown Primate, many of you UMAniacs already know him or of him...but did ya know he is an ex-pro wrestler??
So give a huge round of applause for Unknown Primate!!
Thanks for joining me here as the very first guest...
You were at one time in yer life, a Pro-Wrestler?
For How long??
Good to be here, Doc...
About 12 years total, as an active & semi-active wrestler. Officlally licensed from 1982-1987. Back in those days, you had to be licensed by each state's Athletic Commission. I still wrestled up to around 1993 and have been involved off & on up to 2006.
Doc? Doc? Doc?
sorry... had to fix a cabinet door that fell...cheap sets!!
So did you ever wrestle with any big names..like Hulk Hogan?? Iron Sheik??
wrestle in any Hardcore style matches??
What was yer name in wrestling,if I can ask that??
Yeah, at one time or another, and not necessarily during their "superstar" status. I rassled Hillbilly Jim, Randy Savage, Cousin Junior, Bobo Brazil (that's an old timer for ya there), Billy Travis, Jerry Lawler and worked on cards with guys like Hacksaw Duggan & Buff Bagwell.
I did work in some matches that could be considered "hardcore" like chain matches, barbarian battle royals, etc. but not in the style of the last 10 years or so.
Some aliases I went under were: The Brute, Golden Gorilla, Axeman, Madman Mahoney, etc. When I was 18, I wrestled as Buford The Bull in what amounted to a "backyard wrestling federation". Dang, that's 36 years ago!
Did ya ever wanna be a part of the Big names in wrestling..like WWE/WCW/ECW/???
Did ya ever obtain Championship Gold??
Do you miss wrestling??
Would you ever consider returning??
Yes, I was hoping I could make the "Big Time" as a successful Monster Heel and retire at age 45. I had some bad luck, injury-wise, and about the time I thought I was gonna move up in the business, my best years were behind me!! The business changed dramatically about the same time, also.
I obtained Championship Gold once in Georgetown, Kentucky, when I attacked the Mid-Continental Heavyweight Champion, gorilla-slammed him and stole his belt... The State Athletic Commission made me give it back.
I miss the old days. I'm not cut out for the New Age version. It's a totally different production.
I get repeated requests from an ol' pal of mine who is part owner of WORLD WRESTLING SUPERSTARS. He wants me involved, either as a manager, booker or whatever. I've done a few gigs for them. In 2006, they inducted me into their Independent Wrestling Hall Of Fame, along with Bobo Brazil, Jr., Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Dr. Jerry Graham, Jr. Buff Bagwell & Scott Steiner were on the card that night, also.
To answer the question, I may do a few shows here and there, but that's about it.
How long have ya been into Monsters???
Who are yer Favorites???
I would dare to say that King Kong is one of yer faves...
Do you collect Monster stuff???
What's your fave horror movie of all time??
Who do you think is a better Horror Director??
Been into monsters for about 48-49 years, from when I first saw - you guessed it - KING KONG!
My favorites off the top of my head are KONG, FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER, THE WOLF MAN, THE CREATURE, KHARIS, GODZILLA, YMIR, CYCLOPS (from 7th Voyage), basically, most of the classics. I might have to add Ray's BIGFOOT from his "The Devil At Lost Creek".
I collect some monster stuff, but not everything out there. My stuff ranges from action figures, models, books, mags, etc. to dvds & reprinted posters. 90% of which are in plastic tubs! My collection is way small compared to the ones I've seen on the UMA.
KING KONG (1933) is my favorite movie of all time. If I had to pick one horror fave that sums up my love for the genre, I'd have to go with the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.
For the 70's/early 80's, Tobe Hooper... Currently, I'm not sure.
Do you believe Bogfoot is a real creature??
What do you think it is??
What about other Legends...Nessie,Chupacabra,Werewolves of Wisconnsin...do you think they exist??
This guy reminds me of you...is he a Relative??
WWE's Apeman.....Mike Knox.
Knox has more hair, but he's not as cute as me.
Bigfoot: I think it's likely that somewhere on this big ol' earth, there could possibly be a huge, hairy man-like creature lurking somewhere that has not yet been classified. Whether a relic of Gigantopithecus Blacki or some other primate, I have no idea. They either exist or they don't. Something is out there... I think.
Being a huge monster fan, I obviously wish that there was some truth to all these legends. Nessie, Mothman, Werewolves, Chupacabras, etc. I think you have to look past everything you think you know about this vast universe in order to take seriously, the existence of monsters. And I do, indeed. If they don't pop up outside my window, it doesn't mean it hasn't happened to someone else.
Sorry Folks for the delay..the computer temporialy went down for a while..
I apologize to Uknown Primate for the short interview...
I wanna thank him for stopping by and being our first guests...
Tune in Tomarrow for our second Guest will be .....
U.P. any closing words??? shout outs???
Same Doc channel...same Doc time.....

Thanks for having me, Doc. A special shout-out to my ol' fellow simian, Scatter, where 'ere he may be. And to EVERYBODY at the UMA, thanks for being like a second family. I don't mean like "borrowing money from" or "bailing me outta jail" type of family, so please don't panic!
LONG LIVE MONSTERS (whether real or imaginary)!
Hey...Hey...I'm on here way early than usual..cause who knows when I will be on...
So our next guest is UMA's Badboy.............Black Lagoon!!
Welcome to the show...
So...yer a singer of a metal band??
What's the name of the Band??
Have ya sold any albums??
Play Local events??Birthdays??Barmitzphas??(laugh track)
Glad to be here Doc! thanks for inviting me..
Yeh...I'm a singer...I toured with Marky Mark in '87...then I broke out fresh in my solo R&B single...but that didnt fly over very well,so
I started a metal band called Phanatorium.....
We opened for such great metal bands,like....Rigid Fingers,Demorte,Amohalko,RettacS,and Bleeding Sorrow.
We went Gold in 2000....our number one hit was "Scream it like ya mean it!"
We played Jerry Lucas's son's Birthday...made like hundred bucks..and got free beer!!
Well that's all the time we have...everybody give Larry the fill in guy for Black Lagoon, a round of applause.
Join us next time, when the real Black lagoon makes his appearance.
;D
FUNSTUFFDOC
Keepagoin
Welcome back to the show fear fiends, sitting in for the regular host today is mentally deranged little 'ol me. Tonight our guest will be the UMA's own twisted Prince of Evil......Dr. Teufel Geist.
Hiya Doc, hope you don't mind sitting on the other side of the tombstone this time around.
Your name translates into 'Devil Ghost', does it not?
I understand your really into Cryptozoology and the paranormal.
Which legendary cuddly creatures do you feel really exists, and which probably not?
Have any personal favorites in that field?
What are your inclinations towards ghosts and haunted places?
Is this an interview or interrogation?? get that dang light outta my eyes! :P
Yes it's true I am a Devil Ghost...I wanted a name different from anything that's been used...
So..I googled the English to German dictionary and looked up several names, including werewolves,Vampires, etc.
But,I couldnt find one that sounded cool...so then I put in Devil...and Teufel came up...Geist, I already knew about that word,
hence, Poltergeist.
Then I threw a Dr. in front as a tribute to all the mad doctors in the movies...
I do enjoy reading about myths and legends of mysterious monsters, and I like watching shows about the Paranormal.
I have seen things that could be explained as Paranormal, or possible Imagination...I've always have had a wonderful imagination growing up...not much to do when growing up by yerself..so imagination comes in handy :)
Bigfoot/Sasquatch/SkunkApe/Yowie/Yeti/etc...whatever ya want to call him...I believe they are real...too many sightings not to be real.
Not all sightings are real, the majority are hoaxes, but I believe there is a small percentage that are true statements.
As for the creatures of the sea, oceans, even the Loch Ness....those waters hold many mysteries in the deep depths...so who knows what lurks down below.
I cannot answer the question on Ghosts...or I will be breaking the UMA law on Religion...sorry
As that all the questions??
Yeah, there have been an increasing number of giant Squid sightings over the last decade. A creature many thought to be mearly legend untill recently. So maybe its just a matter of time untill Bigfoot could be proven as well.
So Doc what else do you want to share with your UMA family?
Well many belive that I am a closet fan of Hanna Montana..due to a certain indivudual...
I like to state for the record, that this is a horrible lie...to defame my unfame status..
I have never chopped down a cherry tree..it was a Mulberry tree and my Father taught me never to chop a tree down again..
I only inhale on wknds....and sometimes during the week too >:D
I love all things Horror...as long as it's not over the top...like Hostel or Devil's Rejects..types of movies.
I like my horror movies cheesy with crackers....
I collect Military Helmets, when I have the funds...I have a 1942 British Helmet(WWII)/1956 British Helmet(Korean war)/1924 Tommy Helmet(WWII)/American Helmet from Vietnam/and an Iraqi Helmet that my nephew brought me back from his days serving.
I also have an Italian 1943 Bayonet,a few Nazi coins, a Nazi gun cleaning kit from 1940s, and a Type 99 Japanese Rifle with Japanese writing carved into the wood on the underneath..which one day,I hope to find out what it says.
I also have about 500 HotWheels and about 350 D&D Minitures....and just over a couple of hundred comic books.
I spend too much time on the internet...it's addicting ;D
Well...I guess that's about it...I'd like to thank Creepy for stepping into my shoes as host for tonight and being such a wonderful host...
In closing .....I was never on 32nd street on May 3rd,1968....it wasnt me ;D
You got the wrong guy....
Thanks Doc, I relinquish this side of the tombstone and the show back to you.
Thank you creepy...but now it's yer turn...
So CreepysFan.....judging by the name and pic...I would say yer a Uncle Creepy fan..why?
How did this come about?
What was yer first experience of a Horror movie??
How long have ya been collecting?
Is there other things..you collect??
I also know you like the Paranormal...so have you had any strange things happen to you??
What about Monster legends..any you believe exist??
and please do tell us about yer fascination of Lizzie Maguire(however you spell her name)
Thanks Doc, It's good to be here among friends. Oh wait, Scatter and Primate arn't here are they.
Good 'ol Uncle Creepy is indeed an idol of mine, a beloved icon carried over from childhood.
I discovered the Warren magazines pretty young and was instantly hooked. They lead to an odsession towards collecting monsters, although I leaned more towards books and magazines than toys like most kids.
As far as other collecting: Japanese Manga, comic books, true ghost collections.
I can't remember what exactly my first horror movie was, Mom was a fan of these movies and dragged us to the weekend Drive-in horror shows since I could walk. The first one to leave a real impression on me was 'Night of the Living Dead'.
My interrest in the Paranormal lies almost exclusively with ghosts. I lived in a messed up house when very young, which left an impression on me.
On the legend topic, the Jersey Devil always held my interrest.
No real fascination with Lizzy McQuire, just think it's a cool fun show. Much like I Carly.
I think our audience would like to hear more about you living in a messed up house, what do you mean by messed up???
Are you saying it was Haunted??
Why the Jersey Devil? and how far do you go in believing in it??
NOTLD...huh?...I figured yer first movie would have been "Nosferatu"....
Just joking...I know yer not that old..close maybe lol..
When and why did you join the UMA??
During the day the house was relatively normal, but at night there was a depressive quality to the back end (where my bedroom was). I wouldn't go into that room until made to go to bed, and then only with the light on. I never had to have a light before or after that house in Valdosta Georgia. There were a lot of times I woke up during the night afraid and went to sleep on the living room couch. Although I don't remember it, Mom later said I used to hear someone talking in that room and moving shadows. Apparently the house besides ours was having similar problems, since the neighbor started talking to Mom about such things. Her daughter looked into the history of the area but never learned anything. The lady next door wrote Mom after we moved, telling her the people there had a dog that would not go into that one room. I don't remember ever seeing anything, but it left an impression that's given me a fascination with ghosts. I've never lived anywhere else that made me feel bad just being there.
I've read about the Jersey Devil in occult magazines like Beyond, Fate, and Beyond Reality since my early teens and always found it interesting. As far as believing, I guess I would have to see before truly believing.
I've had a love for the classic monsters since my first Famous monsters, which has stuck with me my whole life. So after discovering this site, I was like a kid in a candy store.
Have you given it a thought,to go back to yer old house??
Isnt there a part of you, that wants answers??
How old is the house? do ya know?
I dont know about the audience, but you have peaked my interest in yer old house now. :)
so with that being said...I did a little research on Valdosta,GA.... and here's what I found....
_______________________________________________________________________
Out in naylor right at the intersection if you are heading from the downtown valdosta area as soon as you see the firestation turn right on to that road and go down about 2 or three roads to lower grand bay road on that dirt road there is temperature drops unexplained mists and shadows that move up and down that whole road.

Throughout my childhood years, I often saw a young boy poke his head out from around a brick pillar on my grandfather's porch. When I would run out to look for him, no one was there, nor did I see him run away across the empty yard. It wasn't until I was older that I realised that the child stayed the same age. When I was in my early twenties, a few months before my grandfather passed away, he came into the living room around 1am swearing that he had seen a 10 year old boy run from his bedroom up the hall.

Most of the people here in Valdosta, Georgia are merrily uninformed of the terrible secrets this town keeps; some long
dead folks from long ago have come back to this place. Moonlight hour is undeparted time here. A number of locals argue there are no spirits, but the undeceased spirits of Valdosta are all too real.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A female with an axe in her head was noticed by Cherry
Lake Dam on a dark night staring at the water. This ghost is fantastically active in this neighborhood; there have been many additional stories of this specific ghost. Based on what the residents allege, this ghost is the undead soul of an old Valdosta local resident.
A drifting ghost has frequently been spotted on the water's edge of Cherry Lake trying to locate a person. One thing is for guaranteed, it's a bloodcurdling phantom that you shouldn't go trying to find.
The phantom of a young-looking Indian combatant is frequently observed resting on a stool in a home near Valdosta.
The ghost of a muscular lumberjack gripping a sizeable axe is known to have been noticed on many instances crying in Barber Park on a dark night. People who have made out this ghost assert this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was killed while passing through Valdosta some time ago.
A menacing skeleton may regularly be spotted flinging boulders into the flowing water at Bay Branch before sunrise.
A guy that transformed into
a vampire can be perceived frequently in the backseat of a pickup by the driver setting eyes on the phantom in his rear view mirror at the stroke of midnight. Well, it in all certainty is a chilling ghost that should be kept away from.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ghost of a pregnant woman has now and then been distinguished gardening in the back yard of a flat in Valdosta. In any case, this spirit undoubtedly is creepy; one that is rather not disrupted.
A beheaded man is once in a while noticed struggling to conceal a cadaver in Mud Swamp before sunrise. Regardless of what folks exclaim, it's a frightening ghost that you wouldn't wish to come across after midnight.
A female with her head amputated has supposedly been spotted on several instances taking a rest in an armchair in a home in Valdosta.
An army uniform striding around without a body in it can every now and then be seen startling folks next to a streetlight in Valdosta. Residents allege that this ghost is that of a local who resided here in Valdosta some decades ago. Either way, it is unquestionably a chilling ghost that you shouldn't go searching for.
The ghost of a civil war fighter has regularly been seen in Suwannee River State Park right by the park headquarters calling people's names.
The spirit of an awfully
scorched lady is regularly observed marching from residence to residence around midnight on a Valdosta avenue.
The spirit of an engine driver is known to have been perceived on a small number of instances rummaging around in the fridge in the kitchen of a Valdosta trailer in the early morning hours. In any case, this ghost sure is scary; one
that should be avoided.
A woman without a head may frequently be distinguished staring at folks in a Valdosta trailer through a peephole. A local resident argues that this ghost loves startling unwise people who are brave enough to upset the tranquility in Valdosta.
Wow, so it isn't just that house, the whole town of Valdosta is messed up. Dad was stationed there from `65 to `68, I was there age 3 to 6 but I've thought about going back for answers many times. I have is a photo of the house's front, and the house's street address, 2307 Melrose Dr. One day I might try to go check it out, but don't really know how to approach the people who might be living there now.
Thanks for having me on your show Doc. Take care.
Anytime creepy..thanks for being on....
Doc looks at the audience and says" if anyone out there, would like to be on the show, just contact me..via PM.."
"Goodnight boils and ghouls"

Do you prefer the color or the B&W Horror movies??
Have ya seen the new Wolfman?? and what's yer take on it??
what is yer favorite type of Monster?? and why??
How has the monster movie business changed since you were a kid??
Are you a big collector of Monster Memorabilia??
If you were stranded on an Island, and could only take 3 items, what would they be??
Glad you could make the show....so kick back and relax, put yer heels up.
Where to start.....hmmm.....okay, what makes a Monster a Monster??
Thanks for havin me on the show Doc. Man that is is a real casket full of questions right off the start. Let me grab a cold beverage here."pop" Let's see. I guess society would call something/someone a monster if it fell waaaay out of the realm of the norm. A werewolf is a monster, Bigfoot's a monster but so were humans like Pol Pot , Stalin and Countess Bathory but in a different sense of the word.
What or who were yer favorite Monster/Idols growing up??
I saw most of the Uni monsters on Chicago's Creature Features. So I was a fan of Frankie , The Wolfman etc. I really wasn't that interested at the time on who the actors were. Even at 9 or 10 I thought the Mummy films were just plain boring. I really enjoyed and still do overall the movies from the 50s a little more compared to the Uni monsters. Big bugs, Ymir, Beast from 20,00 Fathoms. The first time I saw War of the Colossal Beast I broke out my G.I Joe Adventure Team figures and terrorized them. >:D. I know they are really different genres but a movie like The Wolfman is creepy where the Ymir is cool and fun
When and what was yer first Monster Movie experience??
That I remember distinctly. I was just barely 4 and had just come in from playing with my friend on the next street. My dad and older brother and sister were watching King Kong on the afternoon movie. I caught it just in time to see Kong escape into NY. That was SO cool. So you can guess what I did after dinner. Broke out my plastic army guys and pretended I was Kong.
Do you prefer the color or the B&W Horror movies??
Depends what I'm in the mood for. Anything creepy and atmospheric such as an old dark house type film would generally be better in B/W. I think if you were to colorize any of the classics they would probably lose something. If I want big action horror I prefer color. Dog Soldiers would suck in B/W. Dead Silence, which I love would still work very well.
Have ya seen the new Wolfman?? and what's yer take on it??
Nope, haven't seen it yet. I have not even been in a theater in over 10 years. I have been meaning to see this but always have something going on on the weekends.
what is yer favorite type of Monster?? and why??
That is a really tough question since I like a big variety. If we keep to the basic monsters I guess I'd go with werewolves. I'd like to see the ones from Dog Soldiers battle the vampires from 30 Days.
How has the monster movie business changed since you were a kid??
Lack of imagination ,too much CG and lack of character development in many movies. I'm not a big fan of slasher movies aside from the classics like the first Halloween , First couple Freddies etc. Then all the copycats came out and it became so formulaic and redundant.
Obviously you need CG in some of the monster movies especially where it's a big fricken creature. Like in Jurassic Park for example.I like to see more brand new monsters being developed rather than all the remakes.
Are you a big collector of Monster Memorabilia??
No,not in the true sense of the word. I do have a early 70s Creature Features promo card. I collect magazines like Scary Monsters,Monsters From the Vault and such. I'm primarily into newer mask/hand sets and larger props. I'm you've seen some of the pics I've put on the UMA in various places.
If you were stranded on an Island, and could only take 3 items, what would they be??
Totally hypothetical question here. I don't do boats and live nowhere near an ocean. Assuming I did end up on one, found shelter and had plenty of food and beverages ;). I'd have to have a big stock pile of horror books and monster mags to pass the time. An AR-15 with plenty of ammo and gun cleaning kit in case there were any monsters on it. A good medipac in case said monster kicked my ass.
"Announcer" And now it's time to go to a word from our sponsor.
Well were back ...and sitting here chatting with Wicked Lester..
So,wicked...are there any Creatures,Ghosts, or other Paranormal things you believe in??
Like, Bigfoot?.....Chupacabra??.....Jersey Devil??.....Haunted Locations??
I've seen ya post in the Metal Thread many times, are you or were you ever in a Band??
If Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff fought, who would win??
You mentioned collecting and reading Books and Mags, what about comic books??
What do you think about these "Remakes" of Classic Horror movies??
Who is yer favorite Horror Director and why??
So,wicked...are there any Creatures,Ghosts, or other Paranormal things you believe in??
Like, Bigfoot?.....Chupacabra??.....Jersey Devil??.....Haunted Locations??
Well Doc,this is a subject I could talk a loooong time on. So in a nutshell from my own research and experience I do not totally dismiss , shall we say, bizarre mutant offbreeds of various creatures that could be looked on as zoological mutant living in the wilds. Paranormal? I live with it. I have been into and involved in the occult and ghostly things for decades. We had at my present home an incident a couple days ago where my wife dropped something behind a bookshelf. We pulled it out along with the ajoining book stand and it was no where to be found. No way it could have rolled anywhere. Things like this happen in spurts. 3 things in a week then nothing for a couple mos then an In-Your-Face big one ,then subtle stuff for a year. The neighbors have a few things goin on and I believe it is all mostly residual haunting phenom./color]
I've seen ya post in the Metal Thread many times, are you or were you ever in a Band??
Nope. Used to be able to do the Death Metal growls years ago. Never learned to play. Tho almost 30 years ago I had what is now called gothic/death and black metal going thru my head in self made late at night scores. Therion,Tristania,Sigh etc. I did it in my head 15-20 years before they did for real. I have always thought that huge metal sympho stuff + pro classical /opera was a major force to reckoned with and it is now selling very well and very popular out of the mainstream. Try checking out Russian/Baltic States metal rock operas. AMAZING!
If Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff fought, who would win??
Neither, they are both dead. But I would say Bela if his fix was just kicking in.
You mentioned collecting and reading Books and Mags, what about comic books??
Yes,I have about 4000 pages of DC and Marvel reprints I have collected in the B/W volumes + another 2000 pages in EC reprints as well as a couple horror comic Cds.
What do you think about these "Remakes" of Classic Horror movies??
Some are pretty good and some are horrible. The original The Day the Earth Stood Still was AWESOME. The remake all wrong and it should have been much better considering the budget. RZs Halloween? Too bloody but it had a good background on Mikey altho it had many plot flaws.
Who is yer favorite Horror Director and why??
Can't answer that cuz I do not have one. There are many good horror directors from the 30s to now. Most of the prominent have had both GREAT stuff and total suckage.
Say Doc,I'm gonna pop another beer , er cold bev-erage as we go to a commercial.
"Remember folks...Krimonite...it removes all blood stains"
"Well...it's that time again....(audience:Ahhhhhh...) I'd like to thank Wicked Lester for joining us tonight....be sure to catch the next episode of Doc's Den of Horror.....maybe some day, I can get Dan Roebuck to stop in and answer a few questions..."
"Wicked...any last words??"
Nice to have been here. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the vampires bite.
Good Afternoon UMAniacs...........our next victim,er...guest is .....I am the Female Dracula
(Band music plays) "APPLAUSE"
"Good afternoon...IATFD...how are you?"
Alright, lets get down to business, shall we.....
What made you chose the UMA?
Who got you interested in Monster Movies?
What is yer favorite Classic Horror and Modern Horror movie?
Who is yer favorite Horror Actor/Actress?
Do you collect Monster Movie Memorabilia?
Castle or Hammer??
Dracula: Lugosi or Lee?
Who would win in a fight, Jason or Michael??
What other Hobbies do you enjoy?
Hello Doctor.... >:D
I'll try and answer your questions as best I can...
I didn't really choose the UMA. It choose me! I think I typed 'Elizabeth Shepherd' into Google along with some other keyword (I forget) and up came 'Elizabeth Shepherd, still acting!', a thread at the website UMA. So I clicked on it and... I could never leave UMA again. I signed up even though I hadn't seen any Classic monster movies. I just knew I was a fan of Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Basil Rathbone & Peter Lorre. Little did I know how much my life would change...
No-one really got me interested in Monster Movies, but my dad introduced me to Vincent Price. Actually ZZ Top did, and then dad showed me 'Masque of the Red Death', which made me watch 'House on Haunted Hill', 'Tales of Terror' and 'Tomb of Ligeia'. Then over the summer I bought 'Theatre of Blood' and 'The Raven' which led me onto Karloff and then onto Frankenstein..... Also my dad bought the 'Ultimate Hammer Collection' which introduced me to Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing...
My favourite Classic Horror... I assume it doesn't have to be a monster one? Oh no! Well I suppose I have to pick 'House on Haunted Hill'. I've seen it about 8 times and love it just the same each time.
Oh no! These questions keep gettin' harder! I love Vincent Price indecently, but I also think Peter Cushing is great as Baron Frankenstein. I would probably say Hazel Court is my favourite horror actress, but I think Carol Ohmart and Barbara Shelley are good too.
I don't really collect memorabilia, but I did buy rare Tales of Terror lobby cards off eBay and also a Taste the Blood of Dracula screenshot. Does that count?
AAAAAHHH! William Castle I assume? v.s. Hammer? I've seen so many Hammer films, but there's always something they get wrong. I've seen the Tingler and House on Haunted Hill, and I love both of them for their ridiculous storylines. However, Hammer's got more output so I'll go for them.
Dracula, to me, is Christopher Lee. But Lugosi is quite good, I just thought he was a bit overdramatic. I liked his portrayal though- Lee is a bit angsty and angry all the time.
Hmm... bearing in mind I haven't seen Halloween or Friday 13th... I'll say Jason.
Nothing. Watching horror movies, and movie in general is my life. I do like to write poetry and short stories, read books and play piano & drums. Not to mention drinking people's blood.
thrhrt
Hmmmm....poetry and short stories?
Maybe some time you could post some of yer works here?
Color or B&W..which do you prefer?
Do you like non horror classic movies?
Are you a fan of silent Horror?
What sort of books do you like to read? Genre?
ZZ Top introduced you to Vincent Price??
Maybe, maybe..
Colour or B&W? I don't know. Some films just work in colour, others just work in black & white. I do like the black & white ones slightly better though, yet the glory of technicolour! I can't decide.
Non horror classic movies? I love any film with Gene Tierney in it, particularly Laura, Leave Her To Heaven and Where the Sidewalk Ends. Mysteries are always fun.
I've only seen one silent film, and that was 'The Man Who Laughs'. I loved it very much, but is it horror?
I like to read historical novels like the Lady Grace Mysteries and the Roman Mysteries. Also I read biographies and autobiographies- The Hammer story, the Lost One: Life of Peter Lorre, Hazel Court-Horror Queen, etc.
ZZ Top's song 'Vincent Price Blues'. I was playing Sims 2, trying to lock them in a house and set them on fire while first listening to Rhythmeen, and I couldn't really hear what he was singing. I looked at the title and had no idea who this guy was so I googled him. And there the obsession started....
lock them in a house and set fire to them?
okay....I shall not go there.
Well boils and ghouls..that's all the time we have, I wanna thank IATLD for stopping by and hanging out with us here.
"Are there any last words...you would like to say?"
"While IATLD says her last words....I would like to send an open invitation to Daniel Roebuck to stop by and chat."
Doc grabs the book of matches from the table and shoves them into his pocket...
"Goodnight kiddies.."
Thanks for having me on the show!
I would just like to say that the UMA has totally changed my life for the better. I'm amazed at how many films I've seen, and even more shocked that I still have many more left to enjoy! Thank you everyone.
Did I miss anything!? ;D
LOL classic!
