I had like a dozen of these whaen I was a kid, but only with Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and other H-B characters. I would've loved a monster one.

I have one that I believe is exactly the same as yours; it is green and flickers back and forth between two monsters, and as MFS said, they used the same monster drawings that appear on a kid's 1960s monster flicker ring.

Mine was old unused dimestore stock, and it is simply a kid's generic monster pencil sharpener. The dimestore that was near my house when I was a kid carried stuff like this all the time (plus cartoon character versions, rulers, character pencil boxes, etc., etc.).

The "A&W" thing threw me. I was thinking A&W Root Beer premium (??) when I first read it!
