This is not the official theatrical trailer.  It was prepared to secure distribution and completion funds.  Somebody leaked it to the public over the summer.  Eventually there will be an official theatrical trailer suitable for all audiences.

Bobby .. I dig the Ramones a lot. Johnny Ramone dug monsters too. It's sad to think that almost all of the Ramones are dead. I saw them once as an opening act for Foreigner back in the late 70s! They were booed relentlessly! A total mismatch.

I've got that Jack Pierce stage show dvd but I haven't watched it yet. They did an incredible job on the monster scenes and makeups!

I had never seen that Ramones video before, thanks for posting it.

Here's an old commercial for a favorite toy of mine... (which by the way I just noticed that you had put up there Terry, thanks!!)

Post by: The Phantom Creep on December 10, 2007, 03:16:39 PM
Ok, so years ago some friends of mine and I made a short film called Goddamn Frankenstein. It didn't really turn out all that good and it's FULL of problems but we had fun doing it. I hadn't watched it in years but I discovered that a friend had posted it on YouTube. Upon re-watching it I still find it pretty painful because I know what we were going for and to see how much it doesn't work kinda sucks. However there are a few things I like about it - Nick Hood does a great job as the monster, Shane Morton did a fantastic make-up job, Elizabeth Marley makes a great Bride and the scene where she screams like Elsa is a good homage I think.
Unfortunately it's just too long (just under 10 minutes) and it moves kinda slow. It was very difficult to edit because my co-director forgot to shoot a few key scenes and the sound is too low in parts. Also I guess to fit it onto YouTube my friend had to edit out the final credits which is one of the parts I'm most proud of. Oh well.

So despite all the flaws here it is in case any of you want to waste about 10 minutes of your life!

In the Garloo commercial, I like how the girl shares a romantic moment with the toy, running her nose down his face.  I thought Garloo was going to light a cigarette afterward.  He can afford lots of cigarettes and a harem of girls with that $17.98 price tag.  That price pinches a little today, let alone 40+ years ago.  Let's see, should we pay our utilities this month or buy a Garloo...

I'm pretty sure this is the film used in Rob Zombie's Dragula video.  The clips in the video are color, so they were either colorized or there is a color print out there. I think I saw this film on Reel Wild Cinema.

I've seen Kiss Me Quick, and that is not what that clip is from. Kiss Me Quick was in color and the monster never looked that good. Then again, neither did the ladies. Kiss Me Quick is awful by the way. Really corny and stupid .. not in a good way either.

Here's a video that I had many reservations about sharing. Only because it contains graphic language and sexual implications which are not suitable for minors as well as those who are easily offended. I'm a big fan of NIN and I personally found this fan made video to be very well done and highly entertaining!

It is a re-imagining of Mark Romanek's classic Nine Inch Nails video for "Closer" by two fans who identify themselves as T. Jonsey and Killa. Instead of Romanek's creepy visuals, we get footage from "Star Trek," scratched and colored to roughly match the style of the original video.

The song (which includes explicit lyrics) makes Spock look terrifying.

This footage was shot at Monster Bash 2006 in the UMA Toy Tour private quarters. You will also see Coffin Ray at the very tail end of this repulsing short video.

I just watched it.  I liked it.  Good editing and selection of footage.  You could actually believe that all that subtext was there in the original show.  Interesting how the upbeat, campy Star Trek can seem so dark and nightmarish simply by muting the color and marrying the footage to a brooding song.

I'm currently in discussions with the individual who created the mod (or plug in) that we use here to show YouTube videos to update it by supporting Internet Archive videos. The Internet Archive is a fabulous place with an incredible amount of content. I would love to show videos here from the Archive in the same way we are able to share YouTube vids. They're working on it, or so I'm told.

Here is a special piece of film history. It's home movie footage of Bela Lugosi and family. It's rather lengthy for a home video, but it's worth every second to see Bela and Lillian, along with a very young Bela Jr., all sitting around the dinner table with friends and family. One big Hungarian feast! Those were the days.
