Now Bobby needs to find a way to miniaturize himself to 8 inches, seal himself on a pink bubble card, and have someone place that card in the 6-foot AHI Frank's hand.  It will be like the final panel in a Gold Key horror comic.  Bobby would contort his face in an expression of horror and surprise.  Then Boris Karloff or Rod Serling would pop up in the lower right corner to cap the scene with a heavy-handed observation on the irony of Bobby's situation.

Awesome!  Now we need a talented UMA member to create an 8" Bobby figure and AHI package for it.  This could happen, people!
I gotta say, that is one of the most beautifully amazing things I have ever seen.  I am in total awe, and I WANT ONE!!! I think I want an AHI Bobby figure, too... ;D

Duh, sorry George.  It's Justin Mabry's Aurora Frank mask, which he painted AHI style. Night Owl Productions

Very cool!

first thing i said to myself when I saw this sculpt  was..that would look awesome painted AHI style"

Have you thought about these for hands?  Don't let the pics fool you, they look great repainted, especially to match AHI colors.

VXX repainted a pair to match his long gone FM-1 Frank to give you an idea.

Any kind of "monster hands" are going to look wrong for that 6' AHI Frank.  Bobby is trying to match the look of the 8" figure he owns, and that toy has very smooth, generic hands.  Some old-fashioned mannequin hands would probably be best.

The problem with standard mannequin hands is that they are all made small to make it easy to put through sleeves when redressing.  There aren't going to be any with fingers together and thumb extended.  I agree they can't be monster hands and look right, but it's going to have to be some type of latex costume hand I think, stick the fingers together, and put a wire inside to extend the thumb.

These are called Chewbacca hands but with the proper paint job they might work:

Just some ideas.

Hmm....  those Chewbacca hands look pretty good.  Thanks for the suggestion.  They are a little fat and and detailed for this, but with the right paint they might work.

Those look alot like 60s PostFrankenstein hands, sans stitches and clamps. I was also thinking, Bobby, someone made witch shoes in the 70s/80s I think- not sure if they were on a figure or were candy holders or what, but I think they were the right size for your Frankenstein, and looked very close to what AHI used on the figure, and were blow-molded.

Interesting, Bob.  I want to wait a bit until the Halloween stuff comes out and the Fall stuff hits the thrifts.  That'll be the best time to find the perfect things.  If something comes in the meantime, great.

How about this.  Take some rubber gloves, put one on your hand, position your hand with the fingers together and the thumb extended, then use the other hand to coat the glove in Mod Podge.  Use a hair dryer to speed up drying while you continue holding the glove in position.  Then repeat on the other hand.  Carefully stuff the gloves with cotton and insert some wires for stability.  Use green gloves if you can find them.  Otherwise, paint them glossy green after they are coated.

Instead of Mod Podge, you could try foaming them.  Maybe glue the fingers together first.  The thumb will stick out naturally due to the foaming.  Unless you could get the foaming done as a favor, it would cost a few bucks.  And the hands might look fat and clown-like.  You would have to find really thick rubber gloves.

Actually it's very simple: Make a two-part mold of your own hand  with rhe thumbs up position in plaster of paris. Then get green candle wax from the Crafts store and pour yourself the perfect looking AHI hand.

You could stick a wick in each thumb just for added effect.

I can give you a phone # for a window display store named Ralph Jones Christmas display, their pretty much all year around. Their based here in good 'ol Las Vegas. I think they may have the hands you're looking for? But, i'm not 100% sure. I shop there all the time, for all my toy displaying needs.
