Scatter its a funny thing, when I was younger I didnt want anything to do with smaller dogs. I grew up with a German Sheppard and German Sheppard/Collie mix..two great GREAT dogs. After my sister got this little dog...Bella, I wasnt impressed. She lives across the street so I see her often. About 2 weeks into it when I realized she actually has a personality...I changed my tune. I'm an animal lover in general...dogs just happen to be my major soft spot. As I type this, she is sleeping on my lap. Having said all that..I'm sure Bosco is great too!!
All dogs go to Heaven indeed!

Agreed. we had a female chihuahua for 14 years. When my wife first brought her home, i was like; "WTF???", but she quickly won me over. Every day when i came home from work she would give me a hero's welcome. She passed away a few years ago, and i STILL miss her everyday. :'(
Truth be told, while I love animals, I only tolerate Bosco. I like a dog that will sit with me and relax while I watch a movie. Bosco won't do that. Unless you're going to constantly pet him he's not interested in sitting with you. He jumps down to lay on the floor somewhere if you're not playing with, feeding, or petting him.
He's not a lap dog, not overly affectionate. I could do without him.
Bosco looks adorable. But I have three cats that want nothing to do with dogs.
I have never liked dogs much, myself. I love cats, though.

I think Ray's right. I usually read a sticky when it's first posted, but pretty much NEVER follow up on it...on this site or any other. Stickies are great for new members, but regulars usually "tune them out".

Ditto. Why make it a sticky? We have a lot of regular members and this thread is a good source to remember who's who.Face to name.
When I said I didn't ignore stickies, I wasn't trying to argue against what Raymond had said. I was just being silly. But point taken, and I do apologize for my oversight.

That Bash hotel room sure looks spacious. But that's in Butler, right? I've never stayed at the Butler hotel.
Poor Elizabeth looks quite disgusted to have that thing on her hand. I'm surprised she didn't drop him. Stuff him in that Poe purse and leave him for the cleaning crew.

Ok, it's not really from last Halloween. It's me yesterday after finally getting some sanding done in the monster basement....YEAH! Other than that as with most my avatar is what I look like though I've rotted a little more since that was taken.
Here's one from '64 (I'm on the right)

Ha Ha Ha! That picture is so funny!
I hate to be lazy--(I'm lying, I LOVE it)--but rather than upload several photos to Imageshack, then download them here, I'll just provide a link to some pics of me with some friends, acquaintances, and celebrities from Monster Bash:

We not only look similar, we think alike too. Your not the only one who has thought that Tom! We get that all the time. Although we're two peas in a pod, I'm here to tell ya that we're not related. At least not by blood anyways. Jeff still feels very much like a brother to me. He is however the bigger douche bag. ;D

I think you have to find a place to host the pic. I use photobucket - www,photobucket.com - and once you create a folder there, you can cut and paste the link or url or whatever to your post.

Is there any other way? I dont like giving so much personal info to photobucket.
No, I'm afraid not. It would be a lot easier if we could just upload directly. Maybe someday.
I don't remember if ImageShack asks for less info, but I use them.

Because to pay for the bandwidth from people uploading images all the time, we'd have to start charging for membership. Also, it would be a whole new layer of rules and moderating to deal with member photo uploads. Everything uploaded goes into our "gallery" software and interferes with the monster toy photo archive in searches and such. There are a number of reasons, not the least of which is that there are a number of free photo hosting services and you are the first person I've ever heard who won't use them because they ask for too much info. I have Photobucket and Flickr accounts and have never had a problem of any kind due to "info" being out there. Haven't heard of anyone ever having a problem. I respect your choice, but it puts you at a disadvantage in some situations.
I was in the restaurant business for about 7 years, and still remember a customer who came in and wanted something vegetarian for lunch. We had several vegetarian options, but he listed further conditions... no onion, garlic, or peppers. No salads. No meat or animal products. There are dishes that exist which fit those criteria, but most other people don't want to eat them. He went away hungry and frustrated, which is something a restaurant owner never, ever wants to see... only time I can recall it ever happening too.

Do you think that guy might have been me? I don't recall ever being in Texas, but maybe I was in a fugue state.
I have flickr and photobucket accounts, but I only use the flickr one. Actually, I have two flickr accounts, a paid one and a free one.
I don't remember either site asking me for any personal information. Other than my sexual orientation, my stance on abortion, my party affiliation, my annual gross income and, naturally, my debit card PIN. I knew they would put this information to good use, so I shared it freely. I started getting a lot of strange junk mail and telemarketing calls afterward, and my bank balance always seems lower than I expect, but I would be paranoid if I thought there was a connection.
The price I pay for quality image hosting...

Of course, I look a little different after this encounter. ;D
Mike, what organization did you wrestle for?
Nicole & Tom, actually, it's Mark! Tom, I worked for different organizations in what was known as the territory days. The big three were NWA, AWA & WWF (formerly, WWWF and now, of course, WWE). I didn't work directly for the big three, though I did work with some who did (in independent feds). Also, did some work with WWA (based in Indianapolis). I was a journeyman "heel" (you know, the bad guy) who brutalized young clean, scientific wrestlers and then got beat by the shining stars & champions! Never became famous or rich, and once wrestled for a "crowd" of 35 fans for a whopping 10 bucks!
Depressed Larry, I've done some advertising & even an indie horror spot or two, but no actual filmwork. Maybe you're confusing me with Brad Pitt.
Nicole: Although, I have done some security/bodyguard work, YOU could probably whip me these days, LOL!
And Scatter: ONLY when I need the carbs!

Here's me with an original Tuttle & Bailey licensed Filmation cel from the animated "Star Trek" episode, "Yesteryear". Known infamously as the "Six-Fingered Spock" scene (count 'em!), the cel was sold in the early 80s. The lower pic is an enlargement of a page from DC Comics' "Star Trek" Series II, issue #1 (1989), before M'ress the Caitian had to be redrawn as M'yra the antelope woman. The two small colour shots in the frame are Skybox trading cards of M'ress in TAS.

A BRIEF STORY WITH PICTURES:
Our hero, Baron Kilian Von Baer was taking a stroll one evening right at sunset.
He stumbled upon a horrible sight. A farmer Thadeus Quinn was lying there torn to pieces. Brains and guts all over the moor for a quarter mile.
So the Baron went home to retrieve his rifle and hunt down the beast resposible.
Suddenly, the beast attacked him. He fired but missed the shot and had to fight the beast off with a large silver bowie knife. He plunged it into the beasts heart but not before being mauled himself.
For ever after, on each night of the full moon, the Baron would become the Wolf Man and prowl the moors.

Wolf Man, as I've said before... you have FANTASTIC vintage clothing. What era is it from? Circa......?
Sean - Most of my photos for here are Victorian era clothing. I am a reenactor and I am involved with a number of different time periods. My specialties are 10c Viking, 1880's Old West, late 1880's to 1900 Victorian for monster/halloween stuff and 1906 African Safari. There was a not huge difference in clothing from the 1880's to 1906 so many of the clothes will interchange. If I put on a bowler hat and English riding boots while sporting a few different accessories I change from Old West Texas Ranger to an English gent from The Wolfman. By putting on my stove top boots with long mule ears and spurs, a gun belt, a western style hat while carrying a coach gun then suddenly I transform into the Texas Ranger lawman aforementioned. Wearing my English riding boots but changing into a Pith helmet and a safari shirt or jacket I easily transform into an English gent on safari, the great white hunter. There are some subtle changes in collars, the cut of a vest, mostly the lapels and a few other things only the more experienced of costumers would notice but usually it is the accessories that make the transformations possible.
There are a number of good web sites that offer the clothing. I don't really have to have anything custom made although sometimes I do anyway just because I like a certain fabric. The clothes are not cheap by any means. I have an entire wardrobe of multiple period clothing. i believe in point of fact that I have more costume clothes than normal clothes.
If you watch either "The Day Lincoln Was Shot" the last five minutes, or "Ironed Jawed Angels" about in the middle you will see me in either film wearing my own clothing. When I arrived for the costume fitting for "Ironed Jawed Angels" I brought a bunch of my own clothes for them to evaluate. The costume director recognized me and stated that I could wear anything i wanted because I was an expert and knew what i was doing. I enjoyed the compliment and got paid extra for supplying my own clothes. They did not have to costume me. Of course, i also always have my own props.
Costuming is a fun hobby and I am more than happy to help anyone out who would like to pursue it. Some folks are naturals at it. I had to study and learn a lot to get where I am and I have made my share of mistakes which are always costly.
Since I am a huge monster fan pursuing Victorian clothes was especially fun. So many of our favorite films are set in or around the Victorian time period. I also have some really cool accessories that blow my mind sometimes the ingenuity of the people of that time.
I am always free to answer questions if anyone has any.
Thanks for the compliment too.
Here is an example of finer Victorian gentleman's clothes and I am sporting not only the Wolf Man cane but also the same vest worn by Ian Holm in "From Hell" in the scene where he brings a bunch of doctors to witness the frontal lobotomy at the hospital.

So many wonderful Wolfman items in one photo. Love the cane!!
You should have seen how many people were trying to buy the stuff. I also had with me the Barnabus Collins silver wolf cane. Unfortunately I did not take close up photos of the display. I have several antique firearms in there plus the real vampire stake with blood on it. There is also the Wolf Man medallion and I only brought the bowie knife from Bram Stokers Dracula but I have the whole collection including Dracula's cane and his ancient sword which is mounted on a coffin shaped plaque with a red candle underneath. I had the display set up for Monster Fest. I was disappointed though that most people just wanted to buy things rather than look closely at "what" items I actually had on display. I did not set up the following year, just attended in costume.
You probably would have had to call security on me if i saw your display. i would never want to leave. I have to admit if I didn't know things were just on display i would have asked prices at first as well. After you told me they weren't for sale I would just stare and drool for hours. ;D Aces to you on your amazing collection.
You are kind to say so. What is funny is I often don't know where all the things in my collection are. I will go through some box or tote and discover something all over again that I forgot I had.

These girls are LOVELY. They always look like such happy kids even when they're not smiling bigtime. Their mom might be a little mysterious and spooky-----but I bet she's a great mom...and NO, it's not hard to believe (even given the relatively short time we've known you). GREAT JOB, MOM!! 8)

This is such a great post, it's a shame that is has fallen into disuse and that so many of the photos seem to be missing. Everyone should be posting photos of themselves so we can see what our monster friends look like. I posted when the thread was new and now, these many years later I'm posting again. Earlier this year I spent about six weeks in the hospital for no apparent reason, but I came out looking like this--

This was 1975. A boy and his Monster S-I-Z-E monster. The Western shirt had the metallic gold threads in it, and press-stud buttons and the 40s Fair Isle vest was a hand-me-down from Dad. The Frankenstein's Monster was printed on polythene, came in two sections (from Magnamail mail order) and had a set of round glow-in-the-dark stickers to go over his irises.
