Post by: toysoldierman2001 on May 28, 2009, 03:07:38 PM
Just got done watching an episode of Malcolm in the Middle and saw our own Danny Roebuck playing the part of a Zoo Keeper! It was a real treat seeing someone you know on TV! ;D

To me, Dan will always be John/Samson from River's Edge. An absolutely brilliant performance. I especially love the scenes Dan had with Dennis Hopper. Easily one of the best films of the 80s.

How cool Danny!  I want your autograph!  I just love Malcolm in the Middle.  Which episode was it?  That is, what happened on the episode?

To me, he stood out playing Jay Leno in The Late Shift (a movie about the late night wars between NBC and CBS).

I agree, it was one of my favorite movies. Great performances all around, jamming soundtrack, overall a great movie.

Its very cool to have watched someone in a favorite movie and then be a part of the best site on the web with the same person. Only in the UMA!

Let's not forget that our "dynamite" Dan was on LOST. His performance... explosive as always.

OK you guys, just teasing me when it's killing me to know which Malcolm he was on.  Somebody tell the truth.

Out of concern for your health, and a general affection for you, I offer the following........

Season 4, Episode 1
"Zoo" (Danny plays a zoo worker named "Randy")

In this episode, Malcolm faces what almost all teens face: depression.

Lois tells him that it's a phase that is normal for kids. She tries to cheer him up for a family trip to the zoo. At the zoo, Malcolm, still depressed, was told to take Dewey with him since Lois said so.

Meanwhile, Reese tries to fool with the zoo animals but gets payback by a goat. Lois and Hal meet with a zoo keeper named Matt, who turned out to be someone Lois dated. With Hal filled with jealousy, he volunteers to go in front of the crowd and encounters a tarantula. He gets bitten.

With Francis and Piama on their road trip to get-away, Francis bumps into a German couple who works at a ranch. Francis and Piama both get hired and begins to live there. Back at the zoo, Dewey accidently falls into the tigers pit with Malcolm trying to rescue them but both end out being the prey of the tigers.

Panicking, Malcolm is giving up all of a sudden while Dewey knows that they will be okay. With Matt trying to make Hal feel better with sorrow, he lets out that Lois was dating someone else which makes Hal even more furious. He finds Lois and they both argue about revealing secrets and all was forgiven. Suddenly, they hear about two kids in the tiger's pit. It's Malcolm and Dewey.

Back at the pit, Malcolm is hesitating even more. Dewey gets annoyed by his behavior. Suddenly, Lois and Hal find the two of them and Reese appears with the attacking goat as it flies into the air and becomes the tiger's dinner. The zoo workers save Malcolm and Dewey. The episode ends with Malcolm still depressed, the zoo won't sue the family, and Francis helping a cow giving birth.

If you did, we'd use some sort of Mad Scientist alchemy to bring you back to life  but then, you'd only be good for playing Zombies in movies.

If you think you did, can I have your Mark Alfrey Creature and your Creature Pinball?   ;)

BK

PS Danny was also awesome in The Fugitive and an NCIS Episode.

One of my prized possessions is Danny's gizard when he got blowed up on "Lost".  I keep it in a jar on my nightstand.  Kind of might explain the nightmares.

Since we now have 2 threads honoring Danny (who's wondering if he's actually dead now), I thought I should put my Danny Roebuck Tribute Song here too. Daniel Roebuck shall never die!! And here's why:

Sung to the tune of "Danny Boy"........

Oh Danny boy, your Monster friends are bawwwwwling
From Horrorwood to Jersey's littered tide
It won't be long until your stuff's like Forry's,
'Tis true, 'tis true, check Sotheby's website.

But ye'll be baaaack when moonlight's mixed with shadow
And when the wind is howling through the gloom
'Tis your grey hand that reaches through the meadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, you've left your tomb .

And when ye rise a moaning drooling zombie,
And you're undead, undead and slightly green,
You'll come and find the place where your collection
Is being sold to monster devotees

And ye shall tear the doors off of the hinges,
And ye shall shred the bidders gathered there
And embark on gory, bloody binges
And drag your stash back to the Shocker Lair.

And ye shall rest in peace, unless it's seized from theeeeeeeeeeeee.
