Title: 60's toy graphics
Post by: jademonkey on May 23, 2009, 04:50:57 PM
Hey guys. If I am posting in the wrong forum, could someone tell which is the correct one?
I'm a longtime fan of this awesome site, but a relatively new recruit. (I'm quite sure I joined a couple of years ago, but Roboform says no.) I have been trying my hand at painting ( most recently crime comic panels.) And I would like to make some full size paintings of some of the cool retro monster toy graphics. Would anyone be willing to post or email me some higher quality graphics of some of the pics in your galleries? The ones that I think are exceptionally well suited for painting are:

Frankenstein Toys > 1960s

3.5 in. Pinback ( in fact all of the Elwar Pinback Buttons.)
SPP 3 Ring Binder

Dracula Toys > 1960s

Hasbro "Paint-by-Numbers" Box
SPP 3 Ring Binder

Wolf Man Toys > 1960s

Hasbro "Paint-by-Numbers" Box ( This is the one I'm itching to paint!)

Creature Toys > 1970s

AHI 8" Action Figure Card Back
Aurora "Monsters of the Movies" Box

Plus any or all of the Jamar Puzzles /SPP Kids' Wallets

Thanks!

I will be proud to post the finished paintings.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome Jade Monkey.

Well, your timing is exceptional. Search through the past posts for information regarding this.

We have the Members Only forum, perhaps you can find some cool graphics in there. The fear is that someone could use high quality graphics to create fake merchandise. Which would confuse future fans.

I see no one posted , that might be why.

I think your painting idea sounds really cool. Have you looked through the existing galleries?

Anyway, it's nice to have new recruits. Especially an artist.

We're LOUSY with artists here!

(meaning we have alot of em')

Welcome, Jademonkey!
Can you show us some of the work you've done already?  I'd love to see it.
