Say it ain't so, Maude!

"LOS ANGELES (AP) — Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," died Saturday. She was 86.
Arthur died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family at her side, family spokesman Dan Watt said. She had cancer, Watt said, declining to give further details."

What a legend.

Hey Mike,

I loved Maude, I have the first season on DVD and keep wondering why there have been no more... but have always enjoyed Bea I'm sure she's wise-craking up in the sky.. it's those splits you see in the clouds with light shining through!

She was the Mos Eisley barkeep in the unforgettable STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL.

Seemed like a great lady. I really enjoyed "Maude"...

I really liked her in the Golden Girls.It was really funny when she had the arguments with her Mother ;D
