Another kit that hold dear to me besides the Wolfman kits is the Old Janus Lon Chaney Sr Man of thousand Faces kit.I built this up think a year ago and one of my favs in my collection.

Hi Dan, This is one of my favorite kits (that I don't own). Being a fan of Chaney Sr, I find this kit to have everything on fan would want in a monster figure kit. This kit is on my "wish list". Again, nice work Dan. Thank you for sharing. David
Thanks David and yes this is a beauty of a kit of Lon Sr.I just wish Janus never closed shop cause the kits that they did have in the works like the Ray Harryhausen Tribute kit and the Phantom of the Opera Dio would have sold like hotcakes! :)
I have one and it is also one of my favs.. I wonder what the value of one is now ? I also have an Artomic Vampira kit .... another fave. Nice paint job on yours ...I'll post mine when I learn how to post photos on this site ...thanks for the post

I agree, it would have been fantastic to see a HARRYHAUSEN tribute and of course, THE PHANTOM of the OPERA. Keep sharing those wonder pics of your work. I always enjoy seeing these kits in wonderful color. David

Oh would kill to see that Phantom get made if not by Janus but someone like Xofacto or another reputable kit company. But thanks again David for the compliments :)
Does Janus still make kits ? i did a web search and found nothing.

Sad to say this but No.Janus company closed up shop couple years ago and now any kit that they made is highly sought after cause of the talented sculptors that they used, subjects that they picked to create in kit form and also there superb castings.
Yes it is sad news. Any kit one is able to find from Janus is major $$$$$$. But that is what is nice about a wish list. Maybe someday.......David
I have this kit MIB as one of the items I am clearing out if anyone is truly interested, feel free to contact me about it. Hurts to have to let it go, but...
(also have the Janus Bela/Dracula kit MIB as well on the block)
Clay
Hi Clay, Thank you kindly for the info. Just sent you a PM. David
THat is such a nice kit - I often wish I had picked one up at Wonderfest when it came out.
But knowing me, it'd probably still be in the box, soI'd rather see them go to people that actually built them!
It was seeing this kit on the cover of AMAZING FIGURE MODELER that I re-discovered figure models. Had all the Aurora Monsters when I was a youth and I have always been a fan of LON CHANEY Sr. Peace. David
Been looking at all your posts, very nice work and thanks for sharing.
Lee
wow I didn't know their kits were that in demand..... I always wanted the KArloff Pierce kit !
Thanks Lee for the compliments and if any of you can get ahold of this kit its definitly worth the money 8).
