Title: Slightly OT: Questions for star of a Hammer Frankenstein
Post by: The Drunken Severed Head on April 07, 2009, 10:04:37 AM
Hey troops! Maybe you can do me a favor. On Friday, I'l be interviewing by phone Shane Briant, the young star of FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL. (Also the Dan Curtis PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY and Hammer film DEMONS OF THE MIND.) He has written his first horror novel, WORST NIGHTMARES.

Anyone want to suggest any questions?

You could ask him how he got started in the business?

I'm sure this is already at the top of your list, but you could ask him how he liked working with Peter Cushing.  And with the future Darth Vader as well.  And Dan Curtis!  Briant was really good in DEMONS OF THE MIND, as I recall.

Hello Max,
I left a question for you on the other thread if you want to use it also I've thought of another one that you might ask.

2/ Why was the appearance of Dr Frankenstein (Cushing) changed for this movie?

In all the other Frankenstein films Cushing remained the same such as his clothes and hair, in From Hell both his clothes and hair changed from black clothes/brown hair to tan clothes/fair hair was there a reason for this change? Good luck with the interview Max.

I would have sworn Peter Cushing's look was a tribute to Quentin Crisp. ;)
