Greatest day of my fourteenth year of life. Then, the following year, at the 1975 convention, I came face to face with Peter Cushing, but everything changed when I sat front row for the Barbara Leigh Vampirella unveil. I got her to autograph a Pepe Gonzalez poster which my mom promptly shredded. Was anyone else at either 1974 0r 1975?
Welcome to the UMA, Herr! :)

The heartbreak! :(
I attended an FM con in Los Angeles once ... and got to meet Vampirella!

God bless Uncle Forry and Vampi, They made a big part of my early teens what they were.

I didn't get to go. N.Y. might as well have been the moon. Later as a collector I scored the Vampi fan club stuff and the original life-size poster. It's absolutely crushing that Hammer never made the movie.

Thanks Michael!
I have the Harris version hanging on a closet door and my original rolled up in a tube. :)
That's the one, and I keep hoping that there will be just one more monster con and some of our surviving Universal and Hammer stars can make it for autographs. I have some old FMs, Creepys, Eeries and first run Castle of Frankenstein s that need to be personalized.
