Title: '60s Bobbleheads Packaging?
Post by: Mike Scott on May 03, 2026, 05:14:09 PM
Are these the Wiggle-Iks, or the similar looking ones? Package is different.

These are the bobble heads.  Wiggke icks are the wind up versions.

I can never tell them apart, unless they are side by side (or in a package).

So, the BBHeads were originally sold as "Ughlets", then? I don't recall that name, but that's nothing new.

At a glance the bobbles have longer necks,  or at least the appearance of one.

Ive only ever seen them in bags,  first time seeing them boxed and a name associated with them.    Appears to be a different company than the Icks.    But besides the wind up mechanism they appear to be manufactured the same way.   Paint etc...so who knows.

There's the header card. So, which came first?

Creature bobble has feet spread apart, Icks have feet together.

I would think the boxes came first.  Then to save money they likely switched to cheap plastic bags and a header card.

The header card has no mfg on it. Just "Made in Hong Kong". There is something stamped on the toys. Will have to see if I can find a good pic.

Looks like they just say Made in HK on the backs.

Ive even seen the bobbles in bags with just a plastic hanger/clip.

The Icks are Copywright 1967 Allied Doll and Toy corp.  Brooklyn ny

The Ick and Bobble Phantom have the same body it looks like.  Not sure how he'd fit in the Ick box.

Im not sure.   My mistake.  Thats the bobble Phantom.  The Ick Phantom has a yellow body with the slightly different sculpt for the lower body.   Its short and fits in the box like the others.

I was looking at the Ick Creature. His head looks like it's not well attached.
