Title: Bobby Beeman, known here as Toy Ranch, has died.
Post by: darkmonkeygod on February 01, 2026, 11:37:37 AM
His son Nicholas Graham Beeman posted on Bobby's facebook a little before 11AM today, 1 February 2026.

"It is with a heavy heart that I make this post.
On January 30th, 2026 my father, Bobby Beeman passed away after years of health difficulties.
He was an inspiration to me and many others, and touched a great many lives in his time on earth, as brief as it felt.

He made his way in any industry he decided to be a part of, be it making music, vintage toys, collectibles, antiques, oddities, or musical accoutrements.
His shadow looms large, and I feel blessed to have had a father as loving, understanding, and proud as he was.

I will post details for any public gatherings for remembrance and celebration of his life here on his page.

He will be missed dearly, and any questions or communications can be directed to my account.
It still doesn't feel real, but sadly it is.

-Nicholas Graham Beeman"

I'm both stunned and deeply saddened. Bobby was a great fellow and had recently retuned to facebook. That we've had our final discussion is something I'm going to have a difficult time wrapping my head around.

I dealt with Bobby several times before I knew of the UMA.   It was he who suggested that I join during the days of the previous incarnation of the site.

He patiently answered all my questions and was instrumental in my becoming a more knowledgeable and savvier buyer/collector on eBay.

I corresponded with him often outside of the site over the years.  He became a good "Internet friend".  We would sometimes withhold our bids on items we both wanted, in order not to drive up the price of the that particular treasure.  I would steer him to badly listed items that he could snatch up cheaply - and he would do the same for me.

On some few occasions we would battle it out head-to-head for a special "grail".

I appreciated every bit of the kindness and help he gave me.  He WILL be missed.

I was sorry he drifted away from The UMA before I first
got involved here. It would've been fun talking monsters
and masks with him on a regular basis. He had a great
collection and scored some extremely rare treasures
over the years. Rest in peace, Mr Big.

So sad, he was well known in the old days being an active member and a big part of the traveling UMA monster toy displays.  Saw and hung out with him at many conventions. RIP my friend.

In view of the recent outage here, and in honor of Bobby's passing, I'd like to donate to the upkeep of the Universal Monster Army site.

I do not see a DONATE button anywhere.  Where can this be done?

A dark day for the UMA.

One of our earliest members (going back to the Yahoo days) and a long-time moderator. Also, one of the most knowledgeable and helpful members we ever had.

He will be missed by all who knew him. Farewell, Sir!

While I didn't know him personally I enjoyed reading his posts. I'd like to offer my condolences to his family and any fellow member who knew him. Hopefully in the great Hereafter he has a smile wider than the Grand Canyon, why but he's not limited for space now his collection will live on. Rest in peace Bobby.
