It's been a good season so far, all leading up to tonight.
We'll be busy here at home, setting up for the trick-or-treaters.
'Glad it's on a Friday this year. I'll have a whole weekend to
recover from the exertion! Be safe and spooky, UMA

We've got a brilliant orangish-red sunrise this morning and just enough frost on the ground to be a perfect fall day. All the neighbor's decorations are up and running. Best of all no rain in the forecast. This should be an awesome Halloween holiday!
I hope all monster kids have fun!

I live about 5 miles from Disneyland in one direction and five miles from the beach in the other direction.  Two days ago, I was afraid the big day would be too warm.  Skies were clear and it got up to 90 and yesterday it was clear and 82.

Halloween we are clouded over and the high will be 72.  It should be a comfortable 65 just as the sun is going down - cool enough to be wearing a costume, but not so cold mom makes you wear a jacket over it.

The moon will be about 70% tonight, bright enough to keep the little monsters from tripping.  It won't be full until November 5 - so, although werewolves will be out collecting candy, they shouldn't pose any real danger.

Looks like a perfect Southern California Halloween.

I hope everyone has at least one good scare tonight.

We had TorT day last Saturday, in the middle of the afternoon! Always the Sat. before Halloween, unless H is on Sat., and always wrapped up before dark. Phooey! When I was a kid, we didn't even start till dark and on the 31st. Glad I'm not a kid today.  :(

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not a kid today as well. We had it good. Things have gone down the toilet the last few decades.

Happy Halloween everybody! Be careful what and how much you eat. Just because candy is laying on the ground doesn't mean that nobody has already stepped on it.

Dr Druid himself moderated last night's seance. I don't bother
making my displays too realistic anymore. Most of the kids
just bypass it and dive straight for our treat tables, lol!

We got 42 trick or treaters this year which is the second highest we've gotten in the last twenty years. Halloween being on a Friday with no rain brought out the kids.

The WOMAN and I handed out one bag of each of these:

Plus a handful of a mix of Rockets, Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie Roll Pops, Dubble Bubble and Halloween kisses.
