It's nice to still see that Xfinity commercial being used even though Halloween has passed.

I wonder if they had to get permission from Universal or Sara Karloff to use this likeness.  Isn't the neck bolts a Universal thing?  And the likeness is close to Boris.

It would also be interesting to find out why they didn't use some similar likeness for the Universal Frankenstein ride at their theme park.  By similar, I mean a monster that resembles the 1931 Karloff look.

Xfinity didn't need permission from Universal, because Xfinity is Universal.  ;D NBC/Universal/Comcast (which is Xfinity). Universal also owns the Karloff likeness outright, but there are some legal stipulations there in the agreement that could limit certain uses. The good news is that they didn't need a Karloff likeness here, because they just found a new actor who looks enough like Karloff to make the makeup work.
