Since when does eBay censor private messages between buyer and seller?
A Japanese seller told me he was afraid that a poster I bought would be held up in our mail for tariff charges and told me he would help pay the price.
I was writing back to tell him that the tariff was ruled illegal by a judge and it arrived duty free. In describing our situation here, I used the word "bastard" and had my message rejected by eBay. I changed the term to bag of dirt and it went through.
(I was a little surprised all my other terms were deemed unoffensive.)
Never had a private message rejected by eBay before. Is this something new?
I know they censor from putting email addresses in, but didn't realize censored other words.

You should have spelled it like Tarantino did.
Funny thing is, in a previous message I used the "F" word in reference to the same unnamed person, and it went through without objection.
