Title: Question about Aurora Mummy...
Post by: YoungOnce on January 11, 2025, 02:47:04 AM
I briefly searched the boards to no avail, so if this has been addressed and already answered, send me to the right thread :)

Is the Aurora Mummy based off of the third mummy movie (the Lon Chaney Jr one),"The Mummy's Tomb?"

It seems so, with the "stump" right hand.

I've always considered the Aurora monsters to be interpretations.
None of them really look exactly like their silver screen counterparts.

Uh, maybe for Wolfman (he got the poopy end of the stick) and a bunch of his fellow fiends, but the Mummy is Chaney, Dracula is unmistakably Lugosi, and Frankie looks almost spot on for his appearance in Bride. Plus, Bride is super spot on for 1960's especially.

It's definitely Kharis. from  Mummy's Ghost.    Right down to the fingers and tatters.
