Hard to really get much from the trailer but it seems like it might be decent.

Looks pretty good, but why not just call it "Dracula"?
Ahhhh...a Christmas movie. Gotta wonder why they aren't releasing it for Halloween.

Either just wanted the prestige of being based on a classic silent or they got fearful with Renfield and Demeter flopping and wanted it to have something else attached to it.
Yeah, I thought similar when watching the trailer like this sure seems more like a classic dracula movie than a few recent versions I've seen lately.
Tough sell. The 1922 and 1979 versions still hold up, so it's really going to need to distinguish itself.
I googled images of the new Nosferatu and he looks like a chubby pale alien. I'll pass. Same for the new Salem's Lot. More woke nonsense totally unfaithful to the original and more concerned with characters having "witty" lines that telling a good story. I pass on all the remakes these days because they're uniformly terrible. Same for Black Christmas. They remade it into a woke nightmare.

I gotta wonder where you saw that since they haven't officially revealed what he looks like at all so far. As for "woke nonsense", that's a different kind of made-up superstition than what this is about.
As for why it exists at all, and why it's not just another Dracula movie, it's a passion project from director Robert Eggers who was inspired by the original to get into filmmaking. He even did a stage version when he was in high school.
Considering how much effort he puts into historical accuracy, it's safe to say this isn't gonna be just some Marvel movie.
Nosferatu is too negative. I prefer Yesferatu.

BOO!(Throws rubber chickens)
My daughter and I saw it. We both liked it! Nosferatu looked best when they kept him in the shadows. William Defoe did a nice job playing Van Hesling and the set designs were excellent.

You'd think he would have been Nos.
We saw it on Dec. 26th, & wow! It's a very strong movie. I'm not sure what to say that hasn't already been said in every (positive) review. It's not for the faint of heart, meaning my gf probably would've been happier if I didn't take her!
Saw a 35mm print of it on New Year's day at the Music Box theater here in Chicago, which was one of only eight theaters in the US to show it in 35mm(I live like 3 blocks away).
It looked great. The camera work was excellent and the acting was good.
I really didn't like the look of Nosferatu all that much. It wasn't terrible, but not great. I know, they were trying for the look from the book, but I just wasn't felling it. Too zombie like IMO.
I liked it, but I still prefer the silent original.
I liked it but did not love it. Visually it's a stunning film. The cinematography, consutme designs, and set designs are first rate. If you like Gothic horror you'll definitely enjoy watching. I'm just not crazy about the vampire's design. The classic Nosferatu design is burned into my brain lol, so it 's difficult for me to accept any revisions. Plus I felt the vampire was too one dimensional. Just my opinion 🤷
I loved it. It was calming and unsettling at the same time.
Wonderfully disturbing. Familiar, yet still distinguishable from the 1922 and 1979 versions.
Lighting and ambiance was foreboding as well.
For some reason, the scenes at the Harding house seemed a bit unsettling ... especially around his daughters even before Orlok killed them.
Speaking of Orlok, after all the sparkly emo kids and tragic backstories I've been subjected to, it was refreshing to have the vampire actually be evil made manifest; nothing sexy about him, just completely unsettling.
It's also kinda funny, with that mustache, he actually looks closer to Bram Stoker's original description of Dracula in the novel Murnau (illegally) adapted.
Hello folks,
Well, can't say that I liked it, in regard to the extended version. A little too bloated for my liking. In fact, I didn't even stick around to watch the whole film. I did enjoy the 2023 version directed by David Lee Fisher. I really thought that version was more of a dreamlike experience & more faithful to the original 1922 version... But that's just personal preference.
