The Wolfman is a Tskuda Jumbo vinyl figure model kit from the late 80's early 90's.
Mummy is also the Tsukuda kit

HALLOWEEN - Leatherface - Party City, 2023
Party City's 2023 Leatherface Animatronic: https://youtu.be/Ygpdxb7Mm1w
I think the face is the best of the several models out this year. The chainsaw certainly looks better than the undersized, bright yellow one that we saw on another store's version.
They have a Leatherface in the suit at Spirit. They didn't have an open one, but the picture doesn't look too bad. I love the Killer Klowns Slim they have this year, he's massive. And the Martian is cool, but I do think he's way too big.
We went to the first Spirit of the year today. They have another logo shirt this year with a licensed slasher, and it's Sam from Trick r' Treat. Finding a Ghostface logo shirt for my brother last year was a massive pain in the ass, and I'm not looking forward to doing that again. But it'sone of my brother's favorite horror characters, as was Ghostface, so it looks like the hunt is on again. Unless it appears on the website.

While contract terms can be as varied as there are individual contracts,
typically there is a sell-off period at the expiration of a license. In my experience it's often of 90 days. Once that sell-off period ends, the ex-licensee is no longer allowed to sell the product and there are typically contractual provisions for destruction.
That license end date has no effect at all on merchandise that has already been sold to other entities, meaning - and John Pertwee has mentioned Spirit as an example - any third party could continue to sell the product until it sells through, even an individual collector.
Quote from: John Pertwee on August 21, 2023, 01:36:29 PM

Absolutely, Spirit could consider investing in the stock and potentially capitalize on selling them next year. It's a strategic way to turn this Halloween-themed excitement into a smart financial move. 🎃📈
Welcome to the UMA, racsfear! :)
Morris Costumes and similar places will most likely get stock and will be selling them for years until its gone.

BRIDE - Figure - Mold-A-Rama - Universal Studios - Florida theme park, 2023
This was obviously introduced for the 2023 Halloween Horror Nights, but it is already showing up on eBay.
By-the-way, Universal has raised the price of their Mold-A-Rama figures to $8.00 this year.
And a Mummy

The Mummy Moldy is on eBay in the same price range. I guess the Frank and Creature sold well last year.
Too bad Universal didn't insist on more detailed figures. These really could have been a lot nicer. Something even die-hard collectors would have wanted.

I'd never been in a HomeGoods before today, and I have to saw their Halloween selection is kind of awesome. I got a big ceramic bowl with a cool ghost tesselation on it, and a neat cartoony skull figural mug for like $20. I'm probably gonna go back and get a couple other things. The less practical decorations might not be something I go for, but they're certainly plentiful. They had a big ceramic Frankenstein Head styled like a candy bucket that I might go back for soon.

Heres one. It's a little cartoony. It doesn't show how large it is. It's pretty good size though. The handle is a metal loop.
Not so awful for a candy dish.
The stuff they had was all pretty copyright safe. They had some licensed Disney stuff but the rest was generic spooky stuff like spiders , haunted houses, witches, and loooots of skeletons and pumpkins.
Thankfully I like that stuff.

FRANKENSTEIN - Halloween Treat Bucket - Trick or Treat Studios, October, 2023
These are described as being 9 inches tall. I hope that doesn't include the handle.
Big Bad Toy Store is taking pre-orders. I ordered a Frank from them because their shipping is only $4.00.

They have it 'til the end of the year. These must have been in the works for some time. Kind of a nice last gasp product.
I think these are the prizes of 2023 Halloween. (Too bad there couldn't have been a Wolf Man and Mummy.)
I just want a camera in the room with the guy that was getting these made when he is told they're killing the license for (at least) two properties he's putting pails together for and he has to get them out before the end of the year. I'm sure that was a day.
Both of these Classic Monsters pails have sold out at TOTS.

They are selling based on their receipt for a "pre-order". They don't have it yet.
I checked with Big Bad Toy Store. They are sold out of their allotted Creature pails but are still taking orders for their Frankenstein pails. (Their items usually arrive a bit later than the ones directly from the manufacturer.)
I probably should have bought a half dozen Creature pails to use in future toy swaps. I KNOW they are all going to sell fast. He is extremely popular in Japan.

I ordered September 13th, the same day time I learned of them through a Monsters In Motion e-mail. I was sure these would sell out and, since T-o-T Studios was losing the license next year, they would not be re-issuing them.

I hope tots will follow up on these popular pails with their Chaney license, and Lugosi brand.
Not sure if this lawsuit will affect those estates too, they have their own continuous legal battles with Uni it seems anyways.
I'm dreaming of Wolf Man, Phantom, Mummy, and Dracula pails, that would be cool !
Though from what I hear, with lawsuit, Uni plans to start making products 'in house' for release.
Now that is Scary- not just a Halloween scare, but for all seasons!

I was absolutely enamored with their Universal mini busts. It's awful that those are now over, without Dracula and Bride. Was hoping for at least 8 characters to round them out. :'(

Morris Costumes and similar places will most likely get stock and will be selling them for years until its gone.
It's quite common for costume shops and retailers like Morris Costumes to stock and sell items for an extended period, especially when it comes to popular or seasonal products like costumes. They often keep inventory available until it's sold out, and this can indeed span multiple years. This practice allows people to access a variety of costume options and ensures that they have choices for various occasions. So, if you're looking for a particular costume or item, there's a good chance that you may find it available at these stores for some time.

They tend to have things for a few Halloweens unless they're really hot items. Wouldn't surprise me if these were holdovers from last year at all.

Halloween wise? Yeah.
Those pails don't say "Halloween!" to me as much as bags with more traditional Halloween imagery like on this pillow:
I bought a huge bag at Dollarama with a hissing cat in a spooky setting for the two year old daughter of the postman down the street. The bag was bigger than she was but she seemed more enthralled with it than with the treats she was getting. She refused to let her mother carry it for her and dragged it up the stairs by herself.

This is been such an amazing year to be a monster lover, and with the scheduled NECA Creature figure releasing this season, you would think nothing would be closer to my heart but... the Trick or Treat Studios Creature candy pail is something I've dreamt of since I was five. It's simply perfect, and that it was a surprise release, limited, shipped in time for Halloween, and was only $20... how much more can a dream come true? It's probably toy of the year for me, which I understand might seem crazed given everything that goes into creating something like the NECA figures, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and ToTS won mine with their Creature from the Black Lagoon candy pail.

The Creature pail is the star to me. It seemed to come out of nowhere. There are so few Creature items. And from a company that is losing its Universal license at the end of the year. The handsome Karloff Frankenstein pail comes in second.
Toys are year-round, but items made strictly for Halloween are much scarcer. I hope next year brings some Universal Monsters Halloween decorations.
This first year of pails was definitely a show stopper. Creature, Frank, AND the Halloween lll masks? That's one hell of a launch. Technically I think the Halloween 1978 pail was their first, and that is also a very cool one, but these made it. Hoping we get a Wolf Man, Phantom and a Dracula since they still have Karloff and Chaney likenesses and they seem to be able to get around that stuff now.

Don't follow you here. I don't believe it matters. As I understand it, Pierce made the mask for long shots, and quick turn around scenes, (saving Uni $$, though they claimed he never did). Otherwise Chaney Jr was made up for the part. Per ruling of CA courts the families share equal rights to image in, and out of make up. The mask is Chaney's image, they are cleared to use it.
The estates are currently exorcising their granted rights and is why we are seeing Chaney Ent items licensed from them, and Lugosi estate, and Witches Dungeon, the Hull heirs for Super 7 Werewolf London figure. Hope the Strange heirs do the same, more goodies to collect.
So we could see monster pails of Chaney Mummy, Phantom, Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Lugosi Dracula, Strange monster, Hull Werewolf...Uni can still share in this, but appears to not want this.
As far as I've gleamed, Uni claims ownership of the Post Halloween III masks they used in movie.
That's why TOT is in courts now, and it's monster license ended. Hope they work it all out, and get back to releasing monsters upon us.

They are 3d interpretation of style guide art. Drac's sculptor put some Logosi in there with the hairline and eyebrow which oddly makes him the best of the 3. Strange they chose Mummy instead of Wolfman. Big W had a bunch of stuff based on that art. Same artwork the Imperial jigglers were based on. Paper plates and other party stuff. Also ceramic mugs , snow globes. All based 9n that art. No Creech. These were the only toy like items.
