This is puzzling me. I've always remembered the original Salem's Lot tv movie running 3 hrs. The IMDB lists this though:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079844/technical (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079844/technical)
3 hr 4 min (184 min) (uncut) (USA)
3 hr 3 min (183 min) (DVD)
3 hr 20 min (200 min) (TV)
1 hr 52 min (112 min) (movie)
How is there a 3 hr, 20 minute version? Moreover, WHERE is it? I've never come across it!
Did you read this?

Sounds like the long version is the one with the double credits and the recap. Let's give a generous 4 minutes for credits... It's hard to imagine a 12 minute recap, though. But they say it was lengthy.
I think the FYE steelbook has the 3hr twenty minute version. I could be wrong.
Oh hell! I never even checked that part of IMDB. Thanks Mike! That pretty much explains it. I do remember a lengthy recap when I saw it on tv originally. That makes sense. I just wanted to make sure I had the complete movie.
I have the DVD (183m). If all I'm missing is one minute, I can live with that. :)
I'm not even sure what that one minute could be. Probably credits or something.
I agree
