I can't think of a better date this month to review some masks of 1922's NOSFERATU.

The earliest version I recall ever seeing was Don Post's in the 1970s. I don't have
any decent portraits of one because I avoided getting a copy, holding out hope
that Post Studios would eventually release a high-end custom version >

I did know a fellow who thought enough of that 800 line cheapie to display it
on a full figure in his home >

I got my wish in 1979 but its look was based on that year's movie remake.
This was one of the first print ads for it. Either they hadn't firmed up a price
yet or were too embarrassed to admit it >

For $350 the mask came complete with matching hands, display case, and registration certificate; a classy presentation >

A brochure had been prepared in advance for promotional purposes, chronicling the mask's creation. They're nearly as coveted now as the mask itself >

A few years later, The Halloween Society saw fit to honor 1922's original
with its own limited Custom Collector's Edition >

Other independents took a stab at the character as well.

Although catalogued as "Vampyr", this mask by House of Horror Studios
owes its look to Nosferatu moreso than any other Dracula >

The same probably applies to Barlow from "Salem's Lot" >

After a while, some weren't even recognizable as Nosferatu anymore!

Other than the HSCCE, my next closest thing to a Nosferatu mask is Ancient Evil
by Trick or Treat Studios. What a privilege it was to see it sculpted live at Don Con 2015 >

Dawn is breaking so let's retreat to our native soil as Mike Hill
astounds us all with his life-sized artistry >

... But darkness falls again tonight and I want to see a veritable plague of
NOSFERATU mask images in this thread by then.

That Mike Hill life-size is great!
Always wanted to customize the Post 800. Had a beat up copy and just never got around to it. (https://i.postimg.cc/ryjyj48P/received-442478600925330.jpg)
Great Nosferatu masks
Nice history, Sir! On a related note:

Here's my Death Studios Vampyre (Barlow) mask along with hands, one of my favorites in my small mask collection.

Impressive
I would not want the Mike Hill one in my bedroom.
I would be expecting it to start moving and with my mind, it probably would.
I am not too worried about being attacked by miniatures unless they organize against me.
We have ways to put down such revolutionary aspirations!

You probably wouldn't want Graf Orlok at your dinner table either, especially if he's thirsty!
