Move over, Chucky, (or should I say David from A.I. Artificial Intelligence?) There's a new girl in town.

From Universal.
I like James Wan. Even when he makes a movie that doesn't make a gazillion dollars, it's still an entertaining movie. Dead Silence is a good example of this. It has an old school Monster Movie feel. This looks good.
There is something unsettling about being intently scrutinized by unblinking, lifeless eyes.
Looks more creative than other January slashers.
"I'm Talky Tina, and I'm going to kill you."
Main problem I have with this new movie is M3gan looks like a kid in a mask.
She IS definitely, creepy. Yikes! " You should probably....run."

I hope it is truly creepy and not just annoying after a while.
Once again, filmmakers, nail guns don't work like that.

Anybody here seen the movie? What did you think?
Looks like a sequel is gonna happen.
I saw this a couple weeks ago and thought it was pretty good. I'm not a big Chucky fan, so I was hesitant. Having an afternoon with nothing on the schedule I thought it might be a fun diversion and I was right.
The robot- doll is indeed creepy. It combines human reactions and emotions with an overpowered body strength similar to the Terminator. The predictable events occur based on this combination as Megan takes out morally dubious characters and moves on to just plain mayhem.
What I found interesting was the relationship aspects of Megan and the young girl she is created to befriend. The movie has some pretty strong messages about toxic situations created by unhealthy emotional bonds.
I'd recommend seeing it if you have time to kill and are looking for some entertainment.
