Halloween Kills was still better then any of the Halloween films involving the Thorn cult.

Donald Pleseance, much the same way Peter Cushing was in films like The Uncanny and Land of the Minotaur, is the only saving grace of that "timeline".   Myers was a breathing prop. Loomis made the flicks watchable in 2-6. Loomis's absence, due to DP's passing, is especially felt in every film since. That's why they keep finding clever ways to get his character involved posthumously in every film since. Someone mimicking his voice, someone portraying him in flashbacks, etc. He's the best part of every sequel. He also helps the believability of the first film.

Well, thank God this ends.

The first reboot film was OK.  Coulda / shoulda ended there.

The second one...felt like it was just the makers throwing stuff on the screen in order to get to the next (last) film.

This third one...we've seen all this stuff before, in all the Halloween films, Friday the 13th films, and every other splatter film.

For me...enough already - how about ya come up with something new?

'Course what they'll likely do is to just come up with more sequels ignoring some of the other sequels/ reboots...Up next - Halloween II, followed by Halloween II Kills and then Halloween II Ends.

I couldn't agree more.  Pleasance is the reason Halloween is my favorite slasher series.  This man IS Halloween.  Michael was always interesting, but Loomis was the reason to watch.  So sad we couldn't get a proper conclusion for Loomis and Michael, as that would have been more warranted than Laurie and Michael, imo.  But you can only do what you can do at this point.  At least we still have some of the original cast to do something like this.

Looking forward to this, actually much preferred Kills to 2018. (then again, I have an unabashed love for the insanity of Curse..)
