So iv been collecting Cesar masks for a while now, finally got around to setting up a display & wanted to share some pics. I really don't know alot about the company Cesar other than their from France and made only vinyl masks, no latex at all that iv ever seen. They seem to be pretty big in the 70s-80s with lots of great masks iv seen through the old catalogs. The really cool monster masks they made have become really hard to find, but you can still find many of the politician & celebrity masks. Most of mine are from the 80s & since their vinyl are still in awesome condition (for the most part)
Thought i would start with some cool pics from the old catalogs showing some masks i have:

'Fun post, SpinalRemains. I see you've got one of those wacky "Franken" masks with the blue forehead.
Thanks for the catalog pages too, hadn't seen one in years.
I've never owned a Cesar mask but have known other collectors who do >

Back in the 1970s, all of our local magic shops carried them >

They always had that funny "Old Man" on their sale shelves. Was that its official name?
I could swear it was catalogued as "Old Drunk" by a distributor once ...

Thank you for sharing these. In all my time collecting, I don't think I ever found another collector who curated so many CEASAR Masks. Dr. Terror, I didn't even know they were your "jam!"

I disagree. There's no such thing as a collection that's "too big".
cl:)
Who has more fun, those who collect Cesar masks or the folks who make them?
'Colorful variety of characters, SpinalRemains. That '93 Bat is extra creepy.

yea im kinda curious about how vinyl masks are made, i think they use big metal molds that spin around? or at least thats one way to do it.
here's the tor & skull metal molds for the vinyls:

Wow, original molds! Those are probably the ultimate DPS collectibles.
Read these couple of pages for a first hand account of casting them:
