lInvisible Man, The Wolfman and now................"Renfield" starring Cage as the Count in present day.
I think Cage would make a better "Renfield".
Clapper board for the new Renfield movie, as production starts. Hey! That font looks familiar! I read an interview with Nicolas Cage, and he said that this is a horror comedy, so I'm honestly pretty intrigued. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

Ugh!
Might be fun?

Cage is playing Dracula? Not just a vampire, but the Big D himself?
Yes. The makeup department seems to have given him Bela Lugosi eyebrows and the widows' peak. Apparently, he liked the comedy bits in the movie and has been basing his movements- not off of Count Orlock of Lugosi's Dracula- but on Sadako from the Ring and Gabriel from Malignant, so he's probably going to move weird.
I'm definitely interested.

Oh, it's a comedy! That won't be so horrible, then.
Wow! Just, wow.
I'm definitely interested in this! The fact that it's a horror-comedy sounds like a good direction to take things. A lot of it is going to depend on the tone, so I'm looking forward to seeing a trailer at some point.
He looks a LOT Like Lugosi here. It's amazing how those slight bits of makeup can bring out the hidden resemblance.
I'm looking forward to this. At least it looks FUN. And Cage looks less ridiculous than Johnny Depp's Barnabas Collins.
He (National Treasure guy) might be my least favorite actor of all time. Hate his lumbering mannerisms, hate his voice, hate his feigned intellect. I can't imagine having to listen to him attempting a Dracula accent. Watching his goofy lumbering about in a crushed red velvet suit is more than I could endure to watch.
If they throw John Travolta in a movie as Frankenstein I think that would be the final signal to me to be done with crappy remakes of classic monster movies.
The last few movies he's made have all been pretty entertaining. I'll see this. My mom gave me a book titled Renfield years ago, but I don't think this is related.
Well I dunno....

Think this thread can be merged with these since they're all about the same movie?
