New Orléans music journalist and cartoonist Bunny Matthews passed away two days ago after an intermittent but long battle with cancer.

His Vic and Nat'ly comic strip made its debut in The Times-Picayune newspaper of New Orléans in 1982 and has since then appeared on a regular basis in both The Times-Picayune and other area publications.

His artwork can also be seen gracing the sides of the delivery trucks of the Leidenheimer Baking Co. of New Orléans:
