I collected Monsterscene and thought it was a first rate horror magazine.

'Great topic, I've been with them from the start. Number 11 was the final issue of the original run, wasn't it?
Hasn't there been talk of MonsterScene making a comeback?

I own several issues. However, I wish I knew more info about the magazine.

I seem to recall first seeing mention of it in the pages of Model Toy Collector magazine.
It was planned as a monthly newsletter before becoming the fine zine it was. Issues were
"Published quarterly", then it became "Quarterly (okay, we try!)", finally "Published whenever".
Here's issue #2. Perhaps between us and other readers, we can post all their great covers!

They still have a website with a cover gallery. Click on the covers to get contents info. I would email before I'd try ordering any of the mags.

👍🏻
After looking at that first page that Sir Maskalot posted I dug out my old Avalon UM portfolio. I'd forgotten how cool those images were! I located my old copies of the magazine, but haven't taken a cruise through them yet😜

I have all 11 issues, but not the 2 newsletters. It was one of the first of the new breed of monsters mags in the '90s. An excellent mag that covered movies, books, comics, games, toys and collectibles. And, of course, it had those great Basil Gogos covers!
I bought Monsterscene #11 off-the-rack at a Barnes & Noble when it came out, then I went back and picked up the other 10 issues over the next couple of years. It was a pretty cool mag. The beautiful Gogos covers made them stand out.
Tower Records sold Monster Scene. Great issues.
