Illustrator and movie designer Ron Cobb died Thursday. He was 83.

So sorry to hear this. In my now "much smaller" art collection, I still own a few of his Warren covers, and I surely remember when the above Warren original art piece went up for sale on e-bay a few years back, I was bidding, but no luck, I believe the piece went close to 15,000 dollars at the time.

Hi Mike. From what I can recall, what the published cover showed, was exactly what the painting was. You would think that the magazine boarders cut out some of the art, but not so with this piece.
