Title: Lego has licensed the Universal Monsters
Post by: darkmonkeygod on September 02, 2020, 10:58:15 PM
Well, at least one - Frankenstein's Monster! Here's a link to the review of the upcoming release of the children's toy as well as some hotlinked photos from that review:

I'm taking a "wait and see" on this one.

Cool by me.

I'm not a Lego fan - but, for those that are (especially little kids), anything that spreads classic monster love gets my vote - if not my money.

Apparently LEGO has picked up the Universal Monsters license and will be producing some for their BrickHeadz line. The first one is Frankenstein's monster.

I'm into this. If they give us a nice line-up and keep them in gray scale I'll be all over them.

Crap! I did a quick scan and must have missed this. Feel free to delete my post as it's 100% redundant.

This is kind of cool, and I hope it's a sign that maybe more Universal Monsters Lego sets could come our way. I'd really love a series of sets with different monsters (Dracula's Castle, Frankenstein's Laboratory, etc).

I'll probably get one when these are released. It they only put out a Frankenstein (or exclude Dracula and Wolfman, like they have been with recent official merch), that'll be disappointing. I think I'm getting to the point where I'm only going to buy merchandise if it includes most of the monsters.

The set is now available for purchase on the Lego website: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/frankenstein-40422 (https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/frankenstein-40422)

I've waited for this for a long time!
Wish it was full sets. But we'll see.
This might make this a little closer to reality.
