Uncle Walt; photographer and so much more. Sad indeed.

Didn't he die like two years ago?

Oops, my bad - completely my fault. I guess when I put on my thinking cap, this AM,
I mentally zigged when I should have mentally zagged... he says, all the while hoping we can all forget this ever happened.

Well, better late than never, since there's no other mention of him, here.

Good to see him mentioned.  I'm sorry to see this thread, but good to see the mention.  About two years ago, give or take, I went looking around for him and tried to contact him, and unfortunately, didn't get a response...I always loved his work in Famous Monsters, and I met him a long time ago, at the Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy convention (I think in 1980 or 81)...even got his autograph, which I still have.  I actually went up to him and bothered him while he was documenting the convention--nobody knew who he was, apparently, and I thought he might like to be approached as one of the celebrities, and asked for an autograph, which he inscribed near his photo in Famous Monsters #100, the famous Famous Monsters issue that I had all the celebrities sign that weekend--Forry, Michael York, Herbert Jefferson Jr., Ed Begley Jr., Susan Cabot, Jacqueline Hyde, and Scatman Crothers, and a bunch more!

I had seen mention of him at CHFB and thought it was a "now" passing as well--easy to make the mistake.  But yes--good to see him mentioned, and his name recorded here.

And there are probably people alive today, doubly so now because Forry is not around to send Walt to whack 'em.   ::)
