Just finished reading an adaptation of R.E. Howard's Red Nails in this weeks new comics. Ablaze Comics, out of Portland, Ore. is doing a nice job with Conan. He is more in keeping with the barbarian I grew up with than other current iterations. The Red Nails adoption illustrated by Barry Smith originally brought me into Howard's characters. It's nice to see it reimagined for a new generation. While I prefer the artwork from the 1970's the storyline stays true to Conan's world; no superheroes or talking mice in this version! Give it a look if you're a Conan fan. I'd love to know what other folks think.
