Title: Why Is The Halloween Merchandise Based On Resurrection?
Post by: Blue Fang on October 04, 2019, 07:00:43 AM
You know this is this something that has bugging me for a while. No matter where you go all the Michael Myers decorations, cups, masks, they are always based on Halloween Resurrection even having the title and logo of that movie

Why is that?

No. It's a very substandard  sequel from 2002. The lead "actor" was rapper, Busta Rhymes (to give an idea of how low it goes). 11% Rotten Tomatoes score.

That's very easy. "Resurrection" is MUCH cheaper to license than the 1978 original. So you still get to use the image of Michael Myers and you hope most people won't notice the difference.

Most people DEFINITELY won't.

I notice much Chucky stuff is licensed to Child's Play 2, and Pinhead stuff to Hellraiser 3. Same reason, I guess.
